Candidates can take admission to M.Tech at NIT Mizoram through a common counselling named CCMT after qualifying for the GATE exam. In case the seats remain vacant even after the CCMT Counselling is over, non-GATE candidates are then offered admission on the basis of the institute-level admission process. One can take admission to M.Tech programme at NIT Mizoram through common counselling for M.Tech (CCMT) after qualifying GATE. If seats remain vacant after GATE qualified candidates, admission can be given to non-GATE candidates through Institute admission procedure.

GATE Mizoram accepts GATE score for admission to the M.Tech courses. GATE 2023 counselling was concluded after Round 1 for most of the M.Tech specialisations. As per the NIT Mizoram cutoff 2023, the Round 1 closing rank for MTech in Computer Science and Technology was 371for the General All India category student. In 2022, the Round 1 closing rank for M.Tech in CSE stood at 363. Comparing the NIT Mizoram M.Tech cutoff 2023 with the previous year Round 1 closing rank, NIT Mizoram witnessed a decling trend for M.Tech in CSE for the General All India category student.

NIT Mizoram is one of the best engineering institutes in Mizoram.Actually the mechanical engineering choosed is too good in this college and faculty are too good for any explanation.From the 7th semester with minimum grand points, every student is eligible for campus placement, maximum all students get placed through placements with a maximum 12 LPA and minimum 4 LPA.There are so many MNC companies which came to this college.Some companies offered good CTC per annum like in core sector lnt, kec, nse, lnt, Ies and IT sector like ibm, wipro, tcs, polaris.Almost all the department have excellent quality of faculty memberand many visiting profsssor from differnt universities oftenly visit our college for seminars.As of now we are going through online, we didn't entered our hostel, by enquiring our seniors they told that it was mostly the hill area, there was so cool and coming to the food it provides both north and south style.
