The NIRF 2025 Rankings are out. As per the latest rankings, NIT Nagaland has been ranked in the 101-150 band, under the 'Engineering' category.
A few more updates are given below:
- The IIT JAM 2026 registration has now begun for admission to the MSc course. The last date to register is tentatively Oct 12, 2025. Furthermore, the exam will be held on Feb 15, 2026.
- The CSAB Special Counselling 2025 Round 3 has concluded with the announcement of the seat allotment results for admission to BE/BTech courses.
- The GATE 2026 registrations are ongoing for admission to Ph.D. and ME/Mtech course, and the deadline for registration with late fee payment has been extended to Oct 13, 2025. The GATE 2026 exam will be conducted on Feb 7, Feb 8, Feb 14, and Feb 15, 2026.
- The JEE Main 2026 registration process for the first session for admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlan courses is expected to start in Oct 2025.

IIIT Allahabad accpets JEE Main score for admission to the BTech courses. As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation. The Round 1 closing rank for BTech ranged between 4817 and 8428 for BTech.
So, considering the previous year Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks, candidates seeking admission to IIIT Allahabad must secure a rank over and above 4800 and 9600 for the General ALL India category candidates.

The total tuition fee for the four-year BTech programme at NIT Nagaland is INR 5 lakh. This fee, however, is sourced from unofficial sources. Hence, is indicative. For admission to MSc programme at NIT Nagaland candidate must complete the institution's entrance standards, which include achieving a valid score in the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Admission Test for MSc followed by CCMN Counselling. NIT Meghalaya conducts its own admission process for the left over seats from the CCMN counselling process.
NIT Nagaland offers M.Tech in Power Systems Engineering in a full-time mode lasting for two years. No, you can not get into NIT Nagaland's BTech programme without having appeared in JEE Mains. The main selection criteria of the course is scores obtained in the JEE Mains exam only, hence, admission without it is not possible. Participating in the JoSAA counselling is also necessary.
