Great college, Great crowd and awesome college life.
Placements: The EIE branch has the highest placement percentage. You can expect a median of nearly 8 LPA and an average of 8-9 LPA as well. In my branch, mostly placements vary between 90-100%, except for 2024. You can get placed in both IT and non-IT companies. You have to work on your skills to grab good internship offers. Overall, it's 8.4/10.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is fast enough and is available in all of campus. You get like upwards of 200-300mbps on laptops. On phones, it can vary between 35-120mbps. Classrooms are good enough to accommodate all of the students. Don’t expect modern classrooms. Classrooms are good but aren’t super modern or anything, though they get most of the work done. We have one cricket football ground, a badminton court, a cricket practice net, a volleyball court, and a basketball court. We are provided with table tennis. Hostels are really great as well with spacious rooms. The library is good as well and contains many books on different topics.
Faculty: Most of professors and teachers have done their Ph.D. from prestigious institutes. They are all very knowledgeable and explain concepts and topics really well. Teaching quality is excellent. The course curriculum is similar to most other NITs, i.e., the same syllabus for all branches in the first semester. Though, unlike many other NITs, in the second semester, every branch gets a unique exclusive subject and practical subject. The curriculum is good and relevant. Exams aren’t that tough. Questions test all of the stuff you learn in the lectures, though. You can easily score high in exams with a small amount of study.
Other: I chose EIE because it has a high placement ratio and you learn both hardware and software well. The events and fests in the college are very great. The main annual fest is called Ekarikthin + Teach-Avinya. It's the biggest technical and cultural fest of college, and it's really awesome. You can win a lot of prize money in the technical/cultural events in the fest aswell. Extracurricular activities are good as well. Many are good at dancing, singing and at sports etc. Crowd is good too. Connectivity is really good as you can easily reach the college by train.

Overall, NIT-Nagaland, is a good college and value for money if you're an average student.
Placements: Almost 60% of the eligible students get placed every year. The placements in our college are good. The average salary package offered is 5-6 LPA, and many of the students are doing internships. So, I would recommend joining this college if you are an average student.
Infrastructure: The total size of the campus is 325 acres. There are hostels for both boys and girls inside the campus. The hostel fee charges are Rs. 4,000. In the hostel, there is a free Wi-Fi facility.
Faculty: The infrastructure and facilities available in our college are good. The central library of NITN situated in inside the admin building is the nerve center for all academic activities. Wi-Fi is free for all students. Labs are well-equipped.
Other: I opted for this college as it is an NIT, and NITs have their own value. My department is electronics and instrumentation, which is very good here.

No matter what 4 years of your life ll definitely be fun resembling a ROLLER -COSTER.
Placements: My branch is Electronics and Instrumentation. In my batch, No. Of Students are only 14, but in my junior batches the no. Of students are increasing. The placements and Salary packages is only depend upon the Students that what did he achieve in their B.Tech life, all other experiences and all. The highest salary offered in my NIT is 18 LPA, the lowest salary package is 3.5 LPA and the average package is 8 LPA. The Top Recruiting companies are L&T, infotech, HP, AMEEX, POLARIS, IBM LABS, IBM GBS, NOKIA etc. In my course, the highest salary package is 8 LPA. But the first batch of my branch is the fourth year one so, placements are in continuation. Top Recruiting companies of my course are SIEMENS, EMERSON, INSTRUMENTATION LTD, HITACHI, ALSTHOM, TEXAS INSTRUMENTS, ABB, E&H, LARSEN & TURBO, etc. 70% of students GOT internship in IITs and IISC. 40% GOT internship in siemens, 20% GOT BHEL and HCL.
Infrastructure: The best thing of this NIT is it has its own permanent campus of over 350 acres containing hostels, classrooms, administrative building, library etc. We have good quality of hostels, big, well-equipped labs where machine labs, physics labs are even better than some IITs. The Wi-Fi speed in hostels are approximately 2.5 to 3.5 Mbps. The food quality in NIT Nagaland is average and you may feel good if you are Non - Vegetarian. Medical facilities are good sports and games are also good.
Faculty: All the Faculty are good, decent, helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also good. They always help the Students if the Students is willing to learn something or want any help. The course curriculum is also good I want to say that this is sufficient. Students go internship in the end of 2nd year or in 3rd year.
Other: I choose this course because I am interested in Instrumentation branch. The annual fest of NIT Nagaland is EKARIKTHIN which means SHARING THE SAME HERITAGE. Extra curricular activities are also good.
