Review of NIT Nagaland Engineering College.
Placements: Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department at NIT Nagaland has shown a steady placement record in recent years. In the 2022-2023 placement season, 14.08% of ECE students secure job offers. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA, while the average package offered was 5 LPA. Top recruiting leading companies that hire ECE graduates include Infosys, Tech Mahindra, L&T Construction, IBM, ICT Services, and Technology Adoption.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not bad, but it is decent. I like it, but there isn't a high-quality playground for students to play on. They also have restrictions on the Wi-Fi. Hostels are not well managed, and the mess food is decent for non-vegetarians, but pure vegetarians will only get paneer.
Faculty: Exams are too easy, you can easily pass them. Teachers are very good, and most of them are from the north and south side, so you can easily understand them in any language. But, you also have to do self-study to get a pass. Teachers here are very helpful and qualified.

This college is better than I expected.
Placements: Placements are not good because students don't work hard. Previous placements are not good due to covid period. Talented students don't go for placements. They score 80% good in GATE and go for M.Teach in IIT. Local students prepare for state government exams.
Infrastructure: The course is designed to be easier, making it accessible for students who may struggle academically, so everyone has a good chance of passing. This provides an advantage for scoring well and achieving a good CGPA. Hostels are in excellent condition with good infrastructure. Currently, first-year students are in a rented hostel off-campus due to availability issues, but a new hostel building is in progress. The hostels for second-, third, and fourth-year students are very nice.
Faculty: Our faculty members are very friendly and polite. They are making it easy to achieve a CGPA of above 8.5 with just 2-3 days of studying before the exam. Exams are conducted every semester, with one mid-semester exam and one end-semester exam. Currently, I am in my first year, pursuing a degree in electronics and communication engineering.

I am satisfied with this college because of the college facilities.
Placements: Since I am in my first year currently, I cannot provide much information regarding the placements. I have heard some news regarding 4th-year students getting an average of 7 LPA in branches like CSE and ECE. The best placement I have heard here is of EIE. Our college has provided good placements in 2023.
Infrastructure: We have got Wi-Fi in our hostels and admin buildings but the network connectivity is very bad overall around our college. We have got about 4-5 labs for first-year students which consist of physics lab, chemistry lab, etc. Few concrete classrooms with fans and about 5 bamboo classrooms with fans. A small library with a seating capacity of about 20 students but the availability of books is good. The food served in the mess is good.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable. Their teaching skills need to be worked on. The course taught in regular classes is good but only in a few subjects we are taught up to GATE level otherwise almost all subjects are taught at a very basic level. Semester exams are kept very easy here. Students studying the last day before exams are scoring 9 pointers.

Science beauty of this campus eases the problems and defects.
Placements: 2018-2022 batch placed students percentage is 82.6. the highest package is 18 LPA. The average package is 7.63 LPA. The average package of my department (ECE) is around 8 LPA Top recruiting companies include L&T Construction, Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, etc. Most companies that recruit students are from IT backgrounds but students also get placed in core companies.
Infrastructure: Hostels are equipped with a Wi-Fi connection. Labs do have the proper equipment for the number of students now. Classrooms are not digital, which most people expect from an NIT. The library is open for almost 12 hrs a day. It has books related to technology and academic purpose but not biographies or novels. Hostels are much better than other colleges but not all. Freshers hostels for B.Tech is very good. Food quality is the worst thing in my college. We get to eat 4 days of bread as breakfast. Lunch is the most miserable meal of the day. But the good news is we have a canteen. The food in the canteen is not like super tasty, but okay we can it's good. When it comes to medical facilities doctor visits to campus once a week. The rest of the week nurses are available. One ambulance is also available for students in case of emergency. Students have the proper equipment to play sports. Mostly we play Football, Basketball, volleyball, cricket, kabaddi, Badminton, Table tennis, and indoor games.
Faculty: Professors are very approachable and ready to help. Ph.D. scholars also have deep knowledge of the subject and are friendly too. One of the best things about my college is academics are not that difficult, so students get ample time to focus on developing other skills.
Other: College life is a completely new experience here. You get to live your student life in a peaceful hilly area. Locals are also very friendly. Many cultural fests take place every semester. The one fest every student of NIT Nagaland waits for is Ekarikthin which is the biggest annual techno-cultural fest. Sports meet also takes place. When it comes to connectivity Airport is 15km and the Railway station is 18km from the campus. Roads were really bad when I joined my B. Tech here but now they are good. Students do get various scholarships and can approach seniors for any help. Seniors are very friendly here.

The college has a well-designed administrative block and various other rooms and facilities.
Placements: Our college has an excellent placement record in the past few years in CS and IT branch. Students are eligible for placement from the 3rd year. Many companies like Wipro, TCS, HCL, Flipkart, and cognizant visited our college in the past few years, placements are awesome here.
Infrastructure: The college's infrastructure is quite good enough. Classrooms are spacious and ventilated properly. Various advanced technology is present in our classrooms like smart boards. The quality of teaching is excellent, members are skilled in different domains.
Faculty: The college has a well-designed administrative block and various other rooms and facilities for the students such as girls' common room and boys' common room, waiting room, co-operative store, etc. Wi-Fi facility is available throughout the college campus. The library consists of many technical books and online websites to download.
