The National Institute of Puducherry (NITPY) was established by the Government of India in 2010. NIT Puducherry is one of the top ten new NITs. NIT Puducherry JEE Main cutoff 2025 has been released for all rounds and categories. The cutoff was released for candidates belonging to the All India quota. Among the General AI category candidates, the closing ranks in the last round varied between 22336 and 69557. Among the OBC AI category candidates, the cutoff ranks varied between 30526 and 83959. NIT Puducherry GATE cutoff 2025 has been released for various rounds, categories and branches. For the OBC AI category, the cutoff score fell between 322 to 479, amongst all the branches, M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive with a cutoff score of 479, followed by M.Tech. in VLSI Design with 389 as the qualifying score. NIT Puducherry BTech admission are done on the basis of rank secured in JEE Mains followed by seat allotment process conducted by JoSAA. The seat allotment is done on the basis of choices filled by the candidate and availability of seats in the preferred institute.

 The total seat intake of NIT Puducherry BTech is 275 across all specialisations. The 50% of the total seats of BTech at NIT Puducherry is reserved for Home-state candidates (Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, Yanam, and Andaman Nicobar).
