I am satisfied with the college.

Placements: Almost 40% of students get placed every year. The highest package offered is 9-10 LPA. The top recruiting company is Vedanta. Students definitely get placed if they have skills in Arc GIS, coding, and other technologies. The top offer made is 12 lacs per annum by Vedanta.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi has a very stable network. Labs are air-conditioned, and the library is clean and suitable for reading. Our hostel has very good facilities like Wi-Fi. Coolers are available in some rooms with special permission. Rooms are big and comfortable for 3 students.

Faculty: Some teachers are Ph.D. holders in specific subjects with high knowledge. They are very helpful and friendly. Semester exams in our college are very difficult because there are 5 subjects with 3 practicals every semester. Every subject bears 150 marks. In end semester exams, we have to write a 100-marks paper in 3 hours.

Other: I chose this course because of field work.

Our college has good facilities, good infrastructure, and good faculty members.

Placements: Above 85% marks are needed for being placed in the applied geology department. I think 9 LPA is the highest salary package offered. HR Junction, Aditya Birla, Tata, and Vedanta are the recruiting companies. You can apply in all types of internships in various institutions, companies, and industries also.

Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi problem may occur on campus. The lab is good for practical knowledge. The classrooms are small but okay. The personal department library is not available. You can bring the book from the central library which is situated nearby the NIT. The hotels are good. Mess is good and the medical facilities are also good. Sports are okay.

Faculty: The teachers in our college are highly knowledgeable in theory as well as practical aspects. Teaching quality is simple and digital mode also. Semester exam is very strict and students got a very good percentage the previous semester which is 70% and above. I'm very happy to join NITR.

Other: All are good on campus.

The college gives students the right path for future progress.

Placements: About 50% of the students got placed. The salary package is 5 LPA to 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Vedanta, Prism, and Johnson. One can apply for internships all over the geophysical institutes and industries of mining and exploration. The course offers the roles of geologists, geoscientists, and mining officers.

Infrastructure: Classrooms have digital access, smartboards, and good infrastructure. Labs are available for research work. Hostel facilities are not available for everyone because the hostel availability is mark-based and the category students also get the hostel facilities.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and the quality of teaching could be better. They prepare us for competitive exams. It could be better if they are specialised in the subject that they teach. They could teach the subject deeply and it would be helpful for students.

Other: For a better understanding of the earth's interior, I chose the subject. Festivals are organised every year, and many events are organised by clubs.

It is a good institute with average placements, good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: In this course, in the previous year, 3 students got placed from the campus out of 15, but previous to that year, 7-8 students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. The average salary package offered ranges between 6-8 LPA. The top recruiting company is Vedanta. About 30% of the students from our course got an internship at Oil India, ONGC, Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, and CIMFR. The top roles offered are geologists, mining geologists, GIS analysts, exploration geologists, environmental geologists, geophysicists, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities available in our college are good. Due to the pandemic situation, I have visited the institute just once, but all the facilities and lab instruments are good. I have heard from my seniors that the quality of food served is good. The security in the hostel is also good.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful, cooperative and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality also in the online mode is good. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready as we are exposed to mines and industry during the last semester. The semester exams are average. The pass percentage is 90%.

Other: Our college organises many events during festivals and annually.

I am satisfied because of good placements, food, infrastructure and facilities, etc.

Placements: In every year, 40 - 45% of students will get placed in very good companies. And the salary varies from Rs.15, 000 to Rs. 30,000. Many of our seniors placed in good companies as assistant Geologist. Every year almost 80% of student get an internship from college. And they got Rs.10,000 to Rs.15,000 per month stipend during the internship programme.

Infrastructure: Facilities like labs, Wi-Fi, classrooms, library, medical facilities, sports and games, etc., are available on our campus. The quality of labs and classroom are good, and the food served in the canteen is also healthy. I have not faced any problem here.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, highly qualified and extremely knowledgeable. Our lecturers adopt different teaching methods. Faculty members help the students in every way. They are also concerned about students' health.

Other: Many associations are available on campus like dance, song, sports and drama. To enhance the extra curriculum activities, they always support the associations to organise the event on the campus.
