My honest review of my college.
Placements: While writing this review, I'm a 4th-year, 7th-semester student and I've been placed in L&T Power. The placement ratio is around 80%, and some reputed companies do visit the college. Microsoft, Intel, Power Grid, L&T, Sun Pharma, Bosch, and Cafe are some of the companies that recruit from the college. I got an internship at IIT Guwahati during my 3rd-year summer vacation. I did a research project there and generated results.
Infrastructure: Around 90% of students reside in college hostels, and rooms are allotted on a sharing basis. Up to 4 people can be accommodated in a single room due to limited space. There are also 3 messes running in the institute: 2 for boys and 1 for girls.
Faculty: Semester examinations are conducted in the department for M.Sc. students, and classes are also held there. Students have to submit the fees to the college and collect their admit cards and mark sheets from the administration. The college provides an environment conducive to both studies and extracurricular activities. The faculty members are friendly and mostly new. Although they don’t have much experience, they perform their duties very diligently. Interaction between teachers and students is good. The teachers are knowledgeable and teach with enthusiasm. The faculty members are eager to bring positive changes to the college and are committed to helping students excel in their fields.

    Improvements are needed.
Placements: 100% students get internship in IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay and Indian Institute of Chemical, etc. 5 students are doing jobs at Syngene, Byjus and Sunpharma, and the rest are preparing for PhDs. 30k per month was the average salary.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in the whole campus. Labs are bad in terms of instruments and infrastructure, however it is expected as it is a place in the high mountains of South Sikkim. Hostel in the campus is good and its food is average. Medical facilities are good.
Faculty: Semester exams are not too difficult, however during the pandemic, it was difficult to study via online mode. 100% is the pass percentage. The internships have helped us to gain practical knowledge for working in the industry. The course curriculum is standard NET and GATE based, however some parts are somewhat irrelevant.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?
    A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
