My opinion for NIT Srinagar.
Placements: 70 to 75 percent of students get placement. There are many companies like for civil – the top most company is L&T, JSW – for mechanical, Increff, Make My Trip, PayPal, Microsoft, Visa, Fractal, and many more companies. Along with this, there is a project in 4th year of college.
Infrastructure: Due to the low temperature here, heaters are available in the library and classroom, and Wi-Fi facility is also available. There are all labs available for all branches, like for civil – geotechnical, highway, transportation, structural, concrete lab available.
Faculty: They are really very supportive and apart from the academics they helped me a lot. Due to the projects in the 4th year, we mentally prepare for the industrial work, and also internship helped me a lot. Paper is moderate level and it depends upon the faculty and subject.
Other: Techvaganga and Range Chinar are the two most important fests of college, because I wanted to go in over. Nment exams civil engineering is best for me.

My review of NIT Srinagar.
Placements: In my first semester, the subjects were computer programming, engineering drawing, engineering mathematics, English communication, Chemistry, etc. The highest package is nearly 40 LPA, and the lowest is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, steel companies, etc.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities and infrastructure are relatively nice. There are pretty good Wi-Fi lab facilities, well-maintained classrooms and a library, and nice medical facilities for sports and games. There is scope for improvement that needs to be addressed. Overall, it is a good college.
Faculty: The papers are pretty hard and need to be rationalized. Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The curriculum is relevant to some degree but needs improvement. Exams are overall hard. The passing percentage is nearly 60 percent. Overall, I would recommend this college.
Other: I chose civil engineering as I am from J&K. There is scope for development and improvement in quality.

NIT Srinagar: Pros and cons.
Placements: There were close to 70-80 percent of students placed in our course. The highest package was around 23 LPA, and the average was around 10 LPA. Amazon, Infosys, Tata, and DPCL were the lead recruiters. Around 80 percent got internship offers both on campus and off campus.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi often doesn't work. Although classrooms are spacious. Labs have the required equipment most of the time. The library needs more space. The quality of food is above average. The rooms have 5 occupants each. However, this could change soon since a new hostel is being built.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and dedicated to teaching. However, the time allotted to complete the first semester is less than sufficient. Exams are difficult, varying from subject to subject. Although most of them are manageable. Most of the students pass in most subjects. Around 60-70 percent pass in every exam.
Other: Teachers are well-qualified and dedicated to teaching. However, the time allotted to complete the first semester is less than sufficient. Exams are difficult, varying from subject to subject. Although most of them are manageable. Most of the students pass in most subjects. Around 60-70 percent pass in every exam.

Some teachers are good, and some are not.
Placements: Among eligible students, 70 to 80% were placed, with an average package of 9 LPA, and the highest being 22 LPA in our branch. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, Microsoft, GAIL, and BPCL. Roles offered include assistant engineer, junior engineer, and executive engineer. Some PSUs directly recruit in college.
Infrastructure: Excellent infrastructure, beautiful campus life, and sufficient labs and workshops for the mechanical department. In the hostel, there are 5-seater rooms, which are not good, and the mess food is average. Sometimes the hostel Wi-Fi is not working properly. In NIT Srinagar, the best branch is the mechanical department.
Faculty: In NIT Srinagar, most teachers are Ph.D. holders with good experience in teaching. I have no idea if the courses are relevant or not. In semester exams, some teachers make the exams tough and some easy. It totally depends on the teachers' mood. In NIT Srinagar, the passing marks are 41 out of 100.
Other: Mechanical engineering will be an evergreen branch with a good history at this college. Range Chinar is one of the famous cultural events.

Review of NIT Srinagar - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: About 70 to 80% of students among the eligible candidates were placed this year. The highest package offered to our branch was about 24 LPA, with an average of 10.6 LPA and a median of about 9 LPA. Top recruiting firms were MMT, Tata Motors, Amazon, BPCL, Infosys, and GAIL. About 70 to 80% of students have received internships in total, including off-campus. Top roles offered were junior engineer, assistant engineer, and core sectors included design engineer, control engineer, power system engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is excellent, especially in winters. The campus has all the necessary facilities required for students. Labs are sufficient and equipped with modern tools. The whole campus is Wi-Fi covered. Classrooms are digitalized, and the library is open from 6 AM to 12 AM. The hostel is okay. 5 students are accommodated in a room for the first year. The mess is okay, with differentiated timings for veg and non-veg, providing 4 meals a day.
Faculty: The faculty are excellent here. Most of them are Ph.D. holders, and their behavior towards students is very generous. Their teaching quality is exceptional. The courses here are up to date and provide more opportunities for lab and practical work. Semester exams are okay, but marking is difficult.
Other: I chose Mechanical Engineering because I'm interested in the field of mechanics. Moreover, the mechanical course in our institute is reputed as being among the best in the country. However, one thing that could be improved is the overall timing of the semesters. It could be increased to provide more time to completely understand and apply every single thing in the course.

Placements: The placement in our course is approximately 85–90%. The highest package offered in our course is 24 LPA. The average package is around 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Vedanta, GMDC, SAIL, and Larsen & Toubro. Almost all students get internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our course are excellent. Wi-Fi and computer labs are available. A library is also present. Classrooms are modern. Hostel quality is very good. Mess and canteen food are good. Sports and games facilities are also good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. They teach us to think effectively. The course curriculum is relevant to the Production and Processing Industry. Semester exams are a little tough and depend on the students’ preparation.
