There are a total of 899 seats for BTech courses at NIT Srinagar. Each of the course specialisation has different seat intake. The highest number of seat count is for BTech in Civil Engineering - 183, followed by Mechanical Engineering - 117, and Electrical Engineering - 113. Students are admitted to the offered BTech programmes in accordance with the sanctioned seat intake. For admission to its BTech programme National Institute of Technology Srinagar accepts the JEE Main scores followed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling.
