Composite Score of 400 and above is considered a good MAT score. Most of the MBA colleges accepting MAT select students having MAT score in the range of 80 percentile to 99 percentile. A MAT percentile above 93 is considered ideal for admission into NIT Trichy, NIT Warangal and others.

MAT cut offs are fixed by participating institutes individually and vary from each other. The MAT cut off percentiles for MBA/PGDM admission at top colleges are usually between 80-95 percentile. The cut offs are used to shortlist candidates for the selection round which included Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
