A review about Orissa Engineering College.

Placements: As far as placements are concerned, this college is one of the placements giving colleges in Bhubaneswar. Almost, there are 80% of the placements. Not very big companies come for recruitment but whatever comes gives ample amount of packages. The average package goes up to 3.8 LPA.

Infrastructure: College is in a large space with big playground. As far as building is concerned, every department has different buildings. Big classrooms with cameras are available to put an eye on activity. Wi-Fi is there in the whole campus. No ragging is allowed in the college, it is a ragging free institution.

Faculty: Every department has number of faculty members to teach their respective department students. Faculty members are highly professional. They are fully qualified and experienced. Most of the faculty members are M.Tech holders. Faculty are helpful and always eager to help us in every possible way.

Other: Many events are held in the college such as college day, zazen and Zephyr, sports day and inter-college competitions.

B.Tech in Orissa Engineering College is awesome with the best experience in life.

Placements: There is 80% placements having a majority of IT companies. The T&P department is very active and trying to increase the campus placements. All the companies are above average with good quality and services in the market. All the companies are well-established and above 3 years in the market.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. All the buildings are renovated and all departments are well established with heavy machinery. A fully online process for the student is done here. The college covers an area of 250 hectares having a garden and showing plants. It has two campuses for all branches.

Faculty: All the faculty members are well-educated and knowledgeable having a minimum of M.Tech qualification. All subjects have good theory sessions along with practicals and labs. There are different teachers for theoretical and practical subjects. There is a CGPA result basis.

Other: A college of adjustable infrastructure, but labs are pretty awesome with no machinery, correction: machines which are broken. As they are brought in early days of starting of college and no maintenance is done. When I come to Placement, till now only one company has come with fair placement i.e. TCS otherwise, no core company. I still don't understand why there is a medical, sports room, gym center, canteen and library in my college. All those things are to satisfy AICTE norms only. Only one thing which I give 5 out of 5 is our AUDITORIUM which is the best one, my annual function which is the extra ordinarily great. Bus services are good. But when you come to a national level education, it just is like BCC (Barabati cricket club) in IIC world cup.so just make your choice carefully".
