B.A. (Hons.) in Economics - Batch of 2026

Overall, the college is nice. You can take admission here and enjoy your college life.
Placements: Placements for Economics Hons are not very good. If you want a job after graduation, you will need to look outside the college as well. The placement cell is cooperative, but the profiles they offer for Economics Hons are limited.
Infrastructure: Our college does not have a hostel, if you are coming from outside Delhi, you will need to book a PG or a flat. The library is adequate, but its infrastructure is not very good, as it sometimes gets overcrowded and a bit noisy. The canteen is decent, offering food at very affordable rates, and the taste is good, so you should definitely try it.
Faculty: Faculty members of Economics Hons are very supportive, especially professors like Indranil Sir and Rimpy Mam. You can even message them after college hours, and they will still be there to support you. The Economics Society of PGDAV College might be a bit challenging, as students sometimes show partiality towards each other, so be careful with that.
Other: This course is one of the best offered by the University of Delhi, so you can go for it. Make sure you have good friends because there is a possibility that your friends won’t be there for you when you need them the most. The fest season at Delhi University is very nice, last time our fest was not very good, but the one before that was excellent.

Satisfied with the faculty. Average infrastructure.
Placements: There were many students who were placed from my college and according to me from my course. The highest package of my college was around 34 Lacs and the average package is 6-7 Lacs. Many companies came to our college for placements like big four companies and many industries too.
Infrastructure: Speaking honestly, faculty members are good teachers and punctual with time. Sometimes classes got cancelled, but they help you whenever you have doubts. We have three buildings in our college. Benches are okay. But yes, there is no Wi-Fi facility. During the selection, the participants promised that they will provide a Wi-Fi facility, but after the selection, it rarely happens. The library is good, and many books are available in the library.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and helpful. They help you every time whenever you ask them. In my economics department, all teachers are very good. They teach by heart, and we are also able to understand what they are teaching. Semester exams in the college are sometimes tough, sometimes easy; it depends on your preparation for the subject.
Other: I chose this course because it has wide scope in the future and I like economics, so I chose to do economics honours. But it does not only have economics or theory subjects; it has Maths. Societies are very good and events that happen, especially in the month of March, are also fine. You will enjoy it if you have friends in the college. Many competitions also take place in the college.

I am absolutely satisfied with the faculty, infrastructure, library, canteen, and tidiness.
Placements: PGDAV College is one of the best colleges in terms of its placement cell. A huge number of companies come and offer jobs on our campus. The highest package was 23 LPA between the years 2022 and 2033. In Eco Honors, roles like analyst are offered, and big companies like Wipro, Deloitte, HCL, etc., offer jobs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. Recently, the college has been painted all new. All the buildings and classrooms are brand new. The library is also the best place for studying in silence, and guess what? Even the Wi-Fi at our college works smoothly. The medical room is also well-equipped with all the necessities, and the canteen always serves fresh and tasty food.
Faculty: The faculty of my course, Eco Honors, is the best, with its well-qualified teachers and their helpful approach. They make things too easy for us to retain, and definitely they are the best. They also prepare the tests so that each and every student is able to perform them while making sure of the levels asked in the final end-of-semester exam.
Other: My courses are Eco major and Statistics minor. So it was both easy and difficult for me in the beginning. The course offers job opportunities from the government sector to the private sector. And college PGDAV is perfect, with well-educated teachers and good placements. The festival life has also been good, though.

The college has helpful faculty, good labs, and average placements.
Placements: In my course, 30% of students got placed. The highest package offered is around 8 Lacs per annum, the lowest package is around 2.25 Lacs per annum, and the average is around 4-5 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies are E&Y, Bajaj etc. The internship rate of my course is around 10%. Roles offered are data analyst, marketing, sales etc.
Infrastructure: The college has well-furnished classrooms with whiteboards. Wi-Fi connections are available only for teachers. The classes are well-ventilated. Bathrooms are not so clean. 4 computer labs are available with AC and working PCs. A huge library of 2 floors is available with enormous books. The quality of food in the canteen is good. Rates are also reasonable. A proper medical room is available with working facilities like sanitary pads and other medicines. Huge grounds are available for sports. A separate volleyball court is available. Separate rooms are available for dance, drama and gym.
Faculty: The teachers for my course are very helpful, experienced and knowledgeable. Teachers try to link the course with practical life. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not make students industry-ready. The difficulty level of exams is average. The passing percentage is 40%.

Review of Pannalal Girdharlal Dayanand Anglo-Vedic College, University of Delhi.
Placements: Students get placed in our college depending upon their marks and eligibility such as marks scored, caste etc. Internships depend upon one's ability. An internship fair is also organised. One can apply to check their capabilities. There is a good possibility to get placed in companies.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are not provided. This needs to be provided in every college. Most of the colleges don't have hostel facilities. Students face difficulty as PG and flats are too costly. All other facilities are provided such as Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library etc.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are cooperative, qualified and helpful. Semester exams are a bit tough, but one can score good marks if he/she is punctual. During our 1st year, the pandemic started. The teaching mode was online. Now, I am in 4th semester. I have offline exams now.

I am satisfied with its faculty members.
Placements: In economic honors, students are inclined towards other arenas like CAT general, etc. So the placements after B.A. honors are not good. Students also wish to study further for a better career option in the future, so do not concerned about placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure as it is a Delhi University college is average, and it is also known to everybody around. The facilities as far as it's concerned are all good and a well-furnished library and also good laboratories. This college also has a very good canteen serving good, and quality food served in this college. The sports and games are also good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable as they are selected through Delhi University evaluation, which is not easy. The semester exams are tougher as the paper is set by Delhi University but what matters is students' knowledge.
Other: It is a good college for students and a good college of Delhi University.

I love my college andy teachers, it is really good and it's infrastructure and facilities are also.
Placements: Approximately 70% of students were placed. The highest package 4800000, average package 3000000 and the lowest package is 1500000.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided in my college and the infrastructure is totally fine and Wi-Fi and all other facilities are always works. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is also best.
Faculty: Teachers are so helpful, qualified and knowledgeable and the quality of teaching is excellent. This course curriculum is relevant and it make the students industry ready. And the semester exams are based on the knowledge of average students.

Average placements, qualified professors, good infrastructure.
Placements: Financial Analyst was one such profile that mainly preferred Economics graduates. The pay scale in this field was around 2-3 Lacs per annum. Another profile that some of my batchmates were interested in was of Research Associate, which was open for all courses and offered a decent package of 2.6-4 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The campus has Wi-Fi facility but it works only in certain areas of the building (but who needs it anyway). One of the biggest flex of being a PGDAVian is that the college has the largest canteen in DU (quite cool). The food is good and affordable. It can save you on the days when you don't feel like having your PG food. The college library will never disappoint you. All you have to do is to have the desire to read a book and you'll have your hands on it.
Faculty: The faculty of economics department is one of the best in the college. The professors are highly knowledgeable and helpful. They bring out the best in you, so no need to worry at all since you'll have your queries solved by the extremely qualified lecturers.
