A decent college with good teachers and average infrastructure.
Placements: The placement rate for the B.A. programme combination is not that satisfying because recruiters usually focus more on B.Com students. Students do get jobs because of their extracurricular activities and not directly because of the college itself. The internships offered are very good, with stipends ranging from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 30,000. Top internship-providing companies are LIC, Wipro, HCL, and Puma.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in college, but sometimes it does not work properly. The library of the college is fully stocked with all the books the students would need and would want to explore. The library has a vast collection of books. Labs are air-conditioned, and the systems work pretty decently. The college does not have a hostel. The food quality in the canteen is okay, prices are low, and you get value for money. The college has good facilities for sports students like volleyball and cricket.
Faculty: The semester exams in this college are usually moderately difficult. If students are regular in classes, they would not face much difficulty in the final exams. The passing percentage is somewhere around 95 percent. The teachers are well-versed in their subjects and are very helpful. The teaching quality is overall pretty decent. The curriculum is relevant and it does give the students an idea of industry workings.
Other: I chose this course because it was multidisciplinary. I get to major in economics while keeping Maths as a minor, which gives a path to multiple good career options like actuarial Science. The course gives you enough time to focus on extracurricular activities. The events in college are pretty nice as well. Besides studying, you have a variety of societies you can join according to your preference. And the college does provide scholarships for underprivileged people.
