Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2026

Decent college life with affordable education and a peaceful campus environment.
Placements: Placements in our college are not that great for every course. But for BCA, BBA, and commerce students, there are some good opportunities. In our batch, around 30-40% of students got placed. The highest package is around 6 LPA, but most students get offers between 2 LPA to 3 LPA. Companies like Wipro and Infosys do come but you have to apply outside too. Roles are many like data analyst, data scientist, programmer, full stack, front-end and back-end.
Infrastructure: Our college is clean and well-organized. Classrooms are okay basic but neat. Some labs are upgraded, especially for BCA. Wi-Fi is there, but it does not work everywhere. Library is peaceful and really helpful before exams. Hostel is safe and secure for girls, though the mess food is average. Medical room is there in case of emergencies. Campus has sports grounds and nice space to chill. We also have events and clubs that keep things fun. Overall, its a good vibe if you are focused and independent.
Faculty: Most of the teachers in our college are experienced and helpful, especially in the BCA department. Some are really good at explaining concepts and are supportive during practicals and doubts. Course is pretty relevant but could be more updated with industry trends like data analytics or AI. Exams are manageable if you study regularly. Most students do pass, but a few subjects can be tricky if you leave them last minute. Teachers do guide you, but self-study is a must.
Other: I chose BCA here because its one of the best affordable options for girls in Chandigarh. The environment felt safe and focused. Best part is the peaceful campus and access to a library, labs, and supportive staff. I do wish they improved placement support, added more workshops, and had more frequent fests or coding competitions. Overall, if you are serious about your course and want a balanced study-social life, this college is a solid choice.

Our college is one of the best in Chandigarh.
Placements: The Computer Application course is a beneficial course for students. Around 70% of the previous pass-out batch get placed in our college. Many companies visit our college and offer different salary packages. Well-known companies like Google and Amazon also visit our college and offer placements at their companies.
Infrastructure: In the Department of Computer Application, there are 4 computer labs. The college provides Wi-Fi to students. Moreover, our college hostels are in very good condition. The quality of food in the hostel mess is very good. The condition of the rooms is also really good.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-qualified and experienced. Bachelor of Computer Application is a curriculum-relevant course. Semester exams and mid-term exams are a little bit difficult, but as our teachers teach us very nicely, the exams are very easy for us.
Other: I'm interested in this course, so I am taking admission to it.

I am satisfied but not 100%, only 70% satisfied.
Placements: There are 60 above students. There are no placements. In this college, no company recruiting for your course. Placements are very bad. There a no internship chances in this college for our course. No roles are offered. Placements are 0.
Infrastructure: Full facilities and infrastructure available in this college like four computer labs, one big canteen, fast food, a juice shop, and a Nescafe. The food quality is always superb I love it. It is the best canteen of the college compared to other colleges.
Faculty: Teachers are very nice, helpful, and also very knowledgeable at this college. Semester exams are not so difficult. They are average, so you can clear them easily. You have to study properly and clear your doubts with teachers. All teachers in our course are good. They can help you.
Other: I chose this course because I love computers. I wish in this college placement recruiting permission should be granted.

Best girls' college in Chandigarh.
Placements: On my college campus, there are many students who got placed but I got an opportunity where the company came to our campus and they held an interview for free training in software development and software testing. I got selected and they gave me training for software testing. I'm now studying and my one of friends got placed in Conduent, Noida with a starting package of 4 LPA. Now, it's my turn to get placed in a reputed company
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Classes are clean. There are a lot of gaming tools. The best part is the canteen. It is very clean and provides tasty food at affordable prices like spring rolls, bhatura, noodles, dosa, and everything is just only Rs. 40 with the best taste.
Faculty: Teachers are so helpful in the first or second semester. They will be in an attitude and you'll think that teachers are too rude. I'll tell you a genuine thing they're the best teachers. They support you always. The curriculum activities also help us to boost our energy to perform our best. Semester exams are tough only first and second semesters after you know the algorithm will help you to get high scores in the subject. This is all about the teachers, teaching quality, and semester exams.
Other: I have completed a bachelor's in computer application. The best thing about the course is the first and second semesters. You'll think it's too hard but when you know the algorithm to study, you'll score high. I don't want to improve anything because everything is perfect. The auditorium is not good, but except for others, everything is good. The faculty gives you more opportunities to win the prize. I won 4 trophies in February 2024. Now, you see the efforts which I have made and the support from the college

Review of Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-11.
Placements: I don't know much about the average package of our college. We are not provided that much good companies for hiring. Placement cell is not that much good. We get placed and get offers from companies which are in Chandigarh. Mostly telecom companies visit here in the name of placement hiring which does have not much good package around Rs 20,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are good. Even our department has different buildings for us which has own small library. We have free access to Wi-Fi and labs are well-furnished. We also have good amount of books. On the other hand, hostel is good. Hostel infrastructure is good. Canteen is not available in the hostel. Medical facility is good and staff is very corporate Games are provided inside hostel like badminton and all.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, knowledgeable, and well-qualified. Their teaching technique is mesmerizing. We love the method of teaching and it depends upon teachers. Few of them teach us through e-learning and some are offline both are amazing and interesting. Sometimes exams are quite tough but on the other hand, it depends upon students how to deal with this.
Other: I chose this course because it provides lots of digital knowledge which is very important for this generation. It is a practical based subject where which we have to learn different types of language with fun. Our college should improve placement cell then this gonna be absolutely a perfect college of the city. Lots of events and fests are organized on our campus for IT students. Through these activities, students learn a lot and enjoy them too.

It provides good facilities and good teachers. It is one of the best and under the top 10 colleges.
Placements: About 60-100% of students get placed in my course. There is nothing much because placement chances were 10-20% in my course. In this college, there are no placements. As freshers students can do an internship from our course with a stipend that ranges from Rs. 15,000-20,000 per month and then after 6 months, there will be an increment.
Infrastructure: Our college provides one big library, Wi-Fi, 4 computer labs, and an individual BCA department. In our college, medical rooms are available. The food quality is very good. Most importantly our canteen is very big and popular as compared to all canteens in college. Sports complex is available in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, fully qualified, and knowledgeable. BCA has a good scope. In my opinion, B. Tech will be much more helpful as compared to BCA in the future. However, BCA is a very good course. Semester exams are not so difficult but it depend on students. In the BCA, the pass percentage is above 40-45%.
Other: It is helpful for the future, so I chose the BCA course. In my opinion, B. Tech will be 10% better.

My personal experience at Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector 11, Chandigarh in BCA.
Placements: I am in my second year, so till now, I don't have any real or personal experience about the placements. As there is no such placement cell, and as per seniors' experiences, big companies don't come to this college. So, the scope of getting placements in tech companies isn't possible at this college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but the washrooms are not so good. There is no Wi-Fi available in the college or in the computer labs also. But there is a lot of greenery on the college campus, which is a plus point. The hostel infrastructure is too good, and the washrooms are also nice with a warm water supply during winter.
Faculty: As my course is BCA, it is one of the hardest courses. Still, there is no practical experience as teachers expect us to cram answers. They don't guide us properly. They don't even take proper classes. Exams are conducted in a proper way, but the faculty for the BCA course isn't appropriate.

Highly affordable, good amenities, and good sports facilities.
Placements: The placements of my college are average. The placement report of previous years shows that the campus has an average placement report. The college has recruitment of students by Mohali-based and Chandigarh-based local companies. The students who got placed were nearly 10 out of a batch of 85 students. The highest package was 3 lac, and the lowest package offered was 1.2 lac per annum. The company that came for recruitment was Cognizant last year. The internships are not provided by the college. Students need to take personal initiative to apply for internships on their own. The roles that were offered through college placement were offered to junior computer operators. Data typist, website developer, coding for Mohali-based MNCs. etc. are the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: My course is BCA, and for this there are 4 to 5 labs for BCA students. The lab's infrastructure is good. Computers are intact with good software that is up to date. All the computers have Windows 11 installed in them. The hostel rooms are spacious; there are two to three students in a single room. The quality of food offered is poor. There are various amenities in this college of sports: library, canteen, cozycove, beauty parlor, gym, and games. The hostel has timing restrictions; otherwise, the overall experience is worth it.
Faculty: The BCA department has approximately 10-15 teachers. All the faculty are well-knowledgeable, well-mannered, and polite; all are UGC qualified and are Ph.D. holders. The course is designed in such a way that students get in-depth knowledge about the applications of computers. But this does not mean that this makes the students industry-ready; the students need to study and conceptualize and apply the practical knowledge of algorithms and coding language. The semester exams are easy to moderate; they are not difficult. The passing percentage of each subject is 33%. Generally, the questions come from previous year papers.
Other: I did choose this course because the course is highly affordable with a good ROI for the future. This gives me in-depth knowledge about the applications of computers. What I want to improve about this course is that there should be an exclusion of Punjab and English subjects. And the addition of other computer-oriented subjects that give more practical knowledge about coding and C language. There are regular events and fests held in my college, like Science Fest, Techzeal, etc. every 2-3 weeks.
