The crowd of SD college is very good. There are lots of clubs.

Placements: Almost 60% of students get placed in my course. The highest package offered in SD College is 7 LPA. The lowest offered is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and HCL. Almost all students get internships in reputed companies. Students who develop their skills surely get internships. Top roles offered in BCA are web developer, app developer, software developer, cybersecurity, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of SD College is very good. All the computer labs are AC centralized, and the whole campus is fully Wi-Fi accessible. The library is well-stocked with new books. Facilities in our hostel are excellent. The mess and canteen food are also good. Various sports and games are played in SD College.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. The BCA course curriculum is old yet relevant as it includes all coding languages. The semester exams are quite easy, but the paper checking is very strict. All semester exams are made by Panjab University.

My college is one of the best colleges in Chandigarh. I like my college very much, also facilities.

Placements: 60% of students are placed. The highest package is 8 LPA. The lowest is 5 LPA. The average is 6.5 LPA. Infosys, TCS, Deloitte, and many more come for mass recruitment. Around 60% of students get internships in my course, and companies like TCS and Deloitte give internships.

Infrastructure: Facilities are good. The infrastructure is old compared to other colleges. Facilities in the hostel are good, but the food is bad. Everything else is good. In medical emergencies, help arrives late every time. Many games are available in the hostel like basketball and cricket.

Faculty: Teachers are good and very supportive in every way, and their knowledge is very good. The curriculum is old compared to other universities, but our college is improving it day by day. Semester exams are not very difficult in the college, and the passing percentage is 35% in every exam.

Other: I chose this course because I have interest in coding and in the IT sector. The best thing in my course is I learn a lot. The curriculum is old. Tt can be better or improved in my course. Everything is good, and I enjoy it very much.

SD College is a good Co-ed college. You can think of taking admission in this college.

Placements: Placements are average at SD College. If a student really wants to get a placement and works hard for it, then only they can get a placement. Those students who didn't work hard will not get any placements. According to the 2023 placement data, only 25 students managed to get placement. The highest package offered is 6-7 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 2-2.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of SD College is excellent. The IT building is fully AC centralized, and the library is also amazing. The food available in the mess and canteen is also good. In SD college, a lot of students are interested in sports, so those students who are interested in sports and want to make a career out of it can apply to SD college.

Faculty: Some of teachers are highly qualified in the IT department. The curriculum of the BCA course is a bit old yet relevant. It does not make the student fully industry-ready. The semester exams of PU colleges are easy, but the checking done is too tight. A student has to get 25 marks out of 100 to pass in MST.

Other: I chose this course because I have been interested in computers since childhood. I love doing coding, and I think SD college is good, but it can improve in ways like they can conduct more IT-related competitions, Hackathons, etc. All the extracurricular activities are excellent at SD College.

It has various clubs and activities along with studies.

Placements: The lowest package offered is 13 LPA to a BCA student as per my knowledge. The highest package is 22 LPA as far as I know. 70% of the students got placed in my college. Several companies visit the college to recruit students like Google.

Infrastructure: IT center is equipped with modern computer systems and software. There is an AC facility in the IT department only, which is a plus point. There are labs too which are equipped with a projector and systems. There is an auditorium too which is very colorful.

Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and welcoming. They are not ignorant at all. They try their best to interact with students. There are some teachers who are not interested in teaching but most of the teachers are pretty helpful which I love the most in GGDSD college.

Other: I chose this course in order to indulge in the computer department and also enjoy Chandigarh life.

Completely satisfied with the IT department and the new courses after the implementation of NEP 2024

Placements: Around 70% of students are placed in the BCA course. For other courses, the placement percentage is even lesser. Most of the students are here to have fun and enjoy their college life. But, if you put in your own efforts, you can bag a decent placement as companies do visit.

Infrastructure: The IT department of GGDSD College is top-notch. All the classrooms and labs have a centralized AC and Wi-Fi facility. I didn’t opt for the hostel, so I can't describe it completely, but as my friends say, it is quite good, with decent food and hygiene.

Faculty: Faculty is really top-notch. Teachers are highly qualified and teach from the basics. The courses are to the point and relevant to the degree. Also, the batch size is really small, so the student-teacher ratio is also quite good. After the implementation of the NEP this year, students have the option to choose their own courses, which is a plus point.
