The college is worth it for placements.

Placements: 60% of students got placed on campus. The highest package of the college is 52 LPA. Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung, and Federal Bank visit the college. 40% of students got internships in various companies such as Samsung, Webtech, MasterCard, Amazon, etc. Top roles offered in the course are executive manager, SD1, web developer, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hostel is good. Facilities are provided such as Wi-Fi, LAN, a study room, a laundry facility, and a night canteen in every hostel. The facility of the night canteen is from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Medical facilities are also available in the hostel. There is also a TV room in which you can watch movies, cricket matches, etc. The sports facility is also available.

Faculty: All teachers are very qualified and helpful but the technique of teaching is not good. Students are not taking an interest. The syllabus is updated every year. The course is very useful. Semester exams are divided into two parts. 30 marks are for mid-semester and 50 for end-semester. 20 marks are for internal quizzes. The passing mark is 36 out of 100. In some subjects, there are tutorial marks. Practical exams are also conducted for practical subjects.

Other: I chose this course because I am interested in mathematics. This course is also related to computer science. There are so many subjects in this course. I am interested in computer science. Practical classes should be increased in the college. There are so many fests in the college but the largest fest in college is Sparsh. It is a 3-day fest. The first day is called singing night and dancing night. The second day is EDM. The third day is a celebrity night. There is no scholarship for the integrated M.Sc. mathematics course. We have many extracurricular activities.

My review of SVNIT is a mixed one. It is a good choice in almost every aspect other than sports.

Placements: Overall, the highest and average package offered during SVNIT Surat placements in 2024 stood at INR 52 LPA and INR 10.24 LPA, respectively. NIT Surat CSE average package offered in 2024 stood at INR 15.86 LPA. SVNIT recorded 65.47% placements for B.Tech, and 59.34% placements for M.Tech batch 2024 definitely, SVNIT is a tier 1 college. SVNIT computer departments have a very strong track record of placement, and many top businesses, like Airtel, Microsoft, Accenture, etc., visit for interviews. In 2022 M.Sc. mathematics, the highest package was 20 LPA, and average was approximately 9 LPA.

Infrastructure: NITs are among the most esteemed public engineering institutions in India after IITs. It provides high-quality education, distinguished faculty members, and impressive placement record. The institution balances theoretical and practical application. It has 100 acre campus at the heart of the city. It provides state-of-the-art facilities laboratories, libraries, research facilities with opportunity to engage in different clubs and organisations Sparsh annual cultural fest, Mindbend annual techno managerial IT. Hostel facilities are par with others all equipped with all basic facilities like furniture, internet, sports facility in the hostel common room and television. Mess food is provided in all hostels and quality control is done regularly.

Faculty: I just want to study in one core subject like chemistry. It is relatively easy. Exams are conducted in 2 ways, one is mid semester that is after 2 month of semester start of 30 marks, and another one is end semester at the end of semester that is 50 marks and 20 for internal marks like for quiz and assignment.

The college is really good.

Placements: In my course only 49 percent of students were placed this year. The highest package was 20 LPA and the lowest was 3 LPA. The top recruiting company was samsung. Only one student got internship here. The top role was data analyst, ed teach teacher, data researcher.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good although its getting better day by day. Many departments are under construction and more departments are coming in future like B.Teach in mathematical and computing. Wi-Fi speed are very good labs are well maintained and classroom are Air conditioned. I can say that our library is one of the biggest, better than most of the iits.

Faculty: The faculty here are good and very helpful also. Most of the teachers are chil but some are very serious. Most of the teachers are from Ph.D. iits/nits. Course curriculum is average and now thge course has become more relevant from this year. Now the semester exam are of good level, if u start early preparing for them it will be good.

Other: I chose this course because I was getting only this course in better NIT than others. The best things about this course is u have computer Science, blockchain, data Science in this course including mathematics. I wish if NIT Surat renamed this course as mathematics and computing. There are many event like SPARSH, the biggest even of Gujarat it is of 7 seven days and is fully enjoyable. NIT Surat is 3-4 km from airport and 10 km from railway station. Also there is nor fee remission form M.Sc. students but only for B.Teach students, and there are many scholarships u can visit the website. In extra curricular activities there are many sports and also inter NIT competition happens every year.

Absolutely satisfied with the interaction with faculty, and good placements in 2021.

Placements: In 2021, the placement percentage was 100%. The highest package was around 12 LPA, the lowest package was around 5 LPA, and the average package was 6-8 LPA. BYJU's, Allen, Akash, IBM, Flipkart, coaching institutes, HP, etc., came here. Data scientist, teaching, software developers, machine learning, data analyst, etc., roles are offered.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is average. Labs are very good. Above-average classrooms are available. A library is available in the mathematics department. I am a day scholar, but my friends said that the hostel is not good. Medical, sports, canteen and mess facilities are available. The rating for mess food can be 3.8.

Faculty: All the teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They help us in all types of situations, and they all help students. This course is fully relevant. In a semester, two exams are conducted, one mid-semester and one end-semester exam. Semester exams are not tough. The passing percentage is 35%.

Other: The best thing about this course that we can also participate in computer science placements.

Good infrastructure and extra curricular activities. Definitely a good experience.

Placements: Most of the students prefer to pursue research in Mathematics and hence quite a few students sit for placements. Yet the teaching and tech roles have been offered for students. Byju's has offered most placements in Mathematics. Other tech roles are company varies. Students interested in technology can sit for Computer Science placements as well with required skills.

Infrastructure: SVNIT Girls hostel is said to be the best hostel in India in terms of food and it's true. The central library is considered to be the heart of the campus and has a fantastic infrastructure. The institute excels in terms of sports and extra curricular activities. Annual events like Sparsh, Kashish are a big attraction and gives you an opportunity to manage a huge crowd. Gujarat's the biggest cultural fest is held by SVNIT as well.

Faculty: The revised curriculum is up-to-date and the faculty members are really good with teaching and doubt solving. All are Ph.D. and have industry experience in certain fields as well as technology and core Mathematics. The curriculum of first and second year is a great base for the subjects like real analysis, ordinary differential equations, partial differential equations, group theory, classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, English and Professional Communication. It helps you find your interests and hence leading to a better career path.

Other: Campus is clean and lush green. Every department has 2 buildings. The campus lies on Dumas Road which is a posh area in Surat and is at 10 minds run from Dumas beach. The clubs here are appreciable. SCOSH is the Science club that has held magnificent events like BEYOND. We have Malang (Dance club), Akriti (Art Club), Kirdaar (Drama Club) and Raag (Music Club). The NSS and NCC are active throughout. SVNIT is great in terms of Sports and has won several awards in inter-NITs sports competitions.

M.Sc admission is not included in JEE. You need to appear for the entrance test after B.Sc. But you can opt for dual degree program if you are interested in (B.Sc +M.Sc) from SVNIT itself on the basis of JEE rank. Best of luck.
