A lot of events, fests, and seminars are conducted on different topics in BHU, students can enroll.

Faculty: The professors are well qualified here, and they know enough to teach each one of you. The core branches of the curriculum are a little tougher than the other branches. Curriculum is a little old, I personally feel, but with the internet and self learning, you can do a lot better here.

Dissatisfied with placements, infrastructure, and the education course.

Faculty: Teaching quality is not as expected as from a NIT here. The course is more focused on theoretical knowledge instead of practical knowledge. The course is not proper according to the faculty. Difficult levels for exams are average. Overall, the pass percentage is good.

Review of Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology.

Faculty: Teachers in my course are qualified and knowledgeable. But I do not think most of them know how to teach effectively. I believe this is not just an issue at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat, but a common problem in many government colleges. That said, the teachers are generally helpful. The curriculum is relevant but outdated and quite basic, especially for core subjects, so if you are aiming for placements, you will need to put in extra effort beyond the syllabus. Stude...

It has a really good infrastructure.

Faculty: Professors of our course are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable in their respective fields. The teaching quality of our faculty members is extremely good. The course curriculum is relevant. Students become ready for industry jobs. Semester examinations are quite tough.

My college is good in every manner.

Faculty: Teachers were very helpful, they even helped a lot regarding doubts. Some teachers had good technical knowledge about their field. Course curriculum was relevant and it made the students ready for industry. Semester exam was moderate but checking was tough.

SVNIT to explore better.

Faculty: SVNIT is considered well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. Teaching quality is generally good. The course curriculum at SVNIT Surat is generally considered relevant and aims to prepare students for the industry. Generally manageable with a high pass percentage.

Recession affects the placement of every tier of college.

Faculty: Faculty members are kind of helpful if we approach them or else they don't care much. The course curriculum is relevant to some extent but it doesn't make the students industry-ready. Students need to prepare themselves for the industry. Semester exams are difficult as compared to other colleges.

The college is okay. Good companies do come here and some faculty members are good.

Faculty: Teachers and professors teach by PPT slides which does not give a good understanding of the concept. Not all teachers are bad, some professors like Dr. Balu L Parne, Alok Kumar, and Keyur J Parmar are excellent professors. The course curriculum is okay and not that level of industry. Basic concepts are good like OS, CAN, OOPS, DSA, etc. Semester exams are difficult if we study one night before.

The college is good. The education level and curriculum are not good.

Faculty: Only a handful of teachers have real knowledge and experience but the rest do not have teaching skills. In this college, education is only mugging and writing the exam, etc. To become industry-ready, I don't think that thing exists at NIT Surat. Semester exams are pretty easy.

It is a good college because it is NIT.

Faculty: Exams are difficult if we don't study. Professors are very good and we may get industry knowledge as well. The pass percentage is 35% as usual but scoring more is better so we should maintain a CGPA and get good offers from companies. They also help us get internships.

It has a good environment. It has a big campus but poor sports infrastructure. Academics are good.

Faculty: Faculty members are well-trained and experienced. They are ready to help with any kind of project or guidance. The course curriculum needs some modification and it becomes a little bit hectic. A good part is it aims to make students industry-ready. The gap between the college academic and continuously upgrading industrial skill set is huge for every academic institution, still, it works towards industry oriented curriculum, which is commendable.

I am not satisfied with the faculty. Placements are average. Infrastructure and facilities are good.

Faculty: Teachers are really helpful as most of them are TAs. They are also well-qualified. The course curriculum is relevant to the industry level but lacks sync with current technologies. They also provide research interns and guides to build industry-level projects. Exams are from moderate to tough levels.

It is a decent college with placements, infrastructure, and college life.

Faculty: As everywhere some faculty members are good and some are not good. The course curriculum is like every other engineering college. It is a little outdated and theoretical. The course does not make us completely industry-ready but it will give us enough knowledge so that we can start as a fresher.

By my review, you can easily make decision whether you want to take admission in this college or not

Faculty: Every teacher is well-qualified, but sometimes the academic exam can be tough. Not every course exam is tough, like the MIT exam is too tough in the CSE branch. In my year, out of 138 students, 48 failed in end-semester exam at MIT. Also, in some teachers' portions, scoring marks is too tough.

My experience at SVNITSurat.

Faculty: Faculty members are very supportive and kind to every student. All professors and T.A. are well-qualified and experienced. Exams are difficult at end semester. 80-90% is the passing ratio. Course curriculum is relevant and does not make students industry-ready directly, and you can check the syllabus at the SVNIT website.
