B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2026
3.6
3Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Good facilities, but average placement and facilities.
Placements: I would say average from the past two years. The average package in core chemical engineering is around 6-6.5 LPA, and the highest package so far in the year 2025-26 is 11 LPA. Other than core, there are chances in non-core areas like software development, data science, management, consultancy, etc.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is average only. Like in the first year, you get in time and after that, there is campus time of 10:30 PM, which I personally find very restricted, and there is also food delivery not allowed till the hostel. You have to go to the main gate to collect your food delivery.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. Some of the faculty members are very good at teaching. All the facilities are excellent in their research area, and the course is also good. Even after accepting NEP, the course got better, including the course on simulation software and management.

Good placements in 2026 and decent infrastructure.
Placements: In 2026, very new and good companies come for placement and provide good packages. Mainly established private companies visit like Apple, Meesho, Cisco, Growetc, and also government companies like BHEL visit campus for recruitment. Approximately 60% of the batch gets placed.
Infrastructure: Decent to medium infrastructure with all basic requirements filled for the students. All department labs have their Wi-Fi setup, and classrooms have smart monitors for visualization. Now, hostels try to maintain good facilities. The mess is decent, where you can have your lunch, dinner, and breakfast.
Faculty: Teachers are well knowledgeable in their field. They always try to help students move forward with new technology. The curriculum is relevant and ready for industry standards. Many faculty try to teach the updated syllabus, but not every faculty is up to the mark.
Other: Everyone wants CSE, but due to a lower percentile, I get ECE. Mainly, 80% of companies allow this branch to sit for placement. Maintaining a good CGPA is a key factor to getting selected because it helps you on your initial grounds.

B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2028

Getting admission is completely worthwhile.
Placements: I am B.Tech 2nd year student in the Department of Civil Engineering at SVNIT, Surat. Placement ratio is about 57 percent. Girls placement ratio is more than the boys. Top companies include Cem India. Top roles offered by the course are construction and building management, planning etc.
Infrastructure: Hostel infrastructure is good enough for living with proper Wi-Fi, a hygienic environment and spacious rooms. The department has a good study environment, with a central library with a fully equipped infrastructure and books. AC are available. Spacious enough for a large crowd.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful, and every faculty member is a graduate from a recognised college of the country, having good industry connections, which is helpful for the students. They also offer internships for the students which prove to be beneficial for them because they help them to experience a real work experience.
Other: Campus life is good and feels like a family far from home. Living with that many people is a good life experience.

B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2028

3Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
I am quite satisfied, except for the sports facilities.
Placements: In my course (Civil), placements are quite decent. It is around 50 to 60 percent in recent years. The highest placement is 16 LPA, and the lowest is 3.5 LPA, while the average salary is 6.8 LPA. Overall, placements are good. Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Adani Group, and Reliance Industries are among the top recruiters, but they generally don’t offer more than 8-9 LPA. Top roles include site engineer, executive engineer, and junior project manager.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of our college is above average. The CSE, Electrical, and Chemical departments have very good infrastructure, while the Mechanical department buildings and classrooms are the worst. The Civil Engineering department has good infrastructure. Wi-Fi is not available in most departments. Classes have a separate building. There are two more buildings, Civil A wing and Civil B wing. Separate drawing halls and labs are available. Hostels have good room space and facilities. Mess food varies, but overall, it is decent.
Faculty: Civil Engineering faculty members are highly qualified and the best in their field. They have a good reputation outside the college as well. They provide projects and on-site internships for field research and are very helpful if approached. Exams are easy, and students can score a decent CGPA by studying for around one week before exams. Some exams are hard. Around 90 percent of students pass without any backlog or supplementary.
Other: I chose Civil because it has good opportunities in both the government and private sectors. Civil engineering allows a lot of time for extracurricular activities and sports. The biggest improvement needed is in sports facilities and equipment quality, as there is no separate ground for each sport. There is no shortage of events. Almost every week, there are games, dancing, or singing events. Along with the freshers' party (Kashish) and annual fest (Sparsh), there is also a technical fest (Mind Blend).

Satisfying placement with good infrastructure.
Placements: I am a student of Electronics and Communication Engineering department. In our batch, till now around 50-60 percent students got placed. The highest package is around 40 LPA, the lowest package is 5 LPA, and the average is around 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Apple, Meesho, Oracle, ZS Associates, and around 20-30 percent, students got internship. Roles offered are software side only like frontend developer, backend engineer, AI/ML engineer.
Infrastructure: All general facilities are available in our campus such as Wi-Fi, library, labs, and all are well maintained and perform satisfactorily to help a student grow in their field. Talking about hostel infrastructure, it lags in some facilities. There is no common room for study and gaming instruments depend on hostel, in some hostels there is a playing area and in some hostels there is none. The mess is well maintained, but you can't expect home-like food.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified and they are very knowledgeable in their field. Teaching quality depends on teacher; some teachers are just trying to complete their hours and some try hard to explain the concepts to students. The course syllabus is very relevant to industry standards. Semester exams are difficult, but if you solve past year papers and class notes, then you will pass the exam with good CGPA.

Integrated M.Sc. in Chemistry - Batch of 2030
4.4
3Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
A lot of events, fests, and seminars are conducted on different topics in BHU, students can enroll.
Placements: The overall placement of college is good, M.Sc. courses, placement is 50% and the average is about 7.5 to 8.5LPA, and while B.Tech courses offer more placement records, but the core branches and the M.Sc. courses grab almost the same.
Infrastructure: All the departments are excellent, and many departments are undergoing major renovation. LAN is provided in all hostels and a library, overall, the infrastructure is good, and hostels are clean, but in some wings, there are issues in the bathroom areas. There are also times when the LAN does not work for 2 to 3 days, and there is also a connectivity problem in the rooms on the first floor of Gajjar Bhavan.
Faculty: The professors are well qualified here, and they know enough to teach each one of you. The core branches of the curriculum are a little tougher than the other branches. Curriculum is a little old, I personally feel, but with the internet and self learning, you can do a lot better here.
Other: I chose integrated M.Sc. because it has decent placement statistics and overall good exposure for research. You can go globally for higher studies, like Ph.D., fully funded, because of the reputation of the NITs, and also because of your research experience.
