SVNIT: experience and reality.

Placements: We have 750 students in each batch from which our branch has 40students out of which 30 got placed in good companies with a few still remaining. Due to this, the college terminated our branch and we are last pass out students of this branch. Average salary offered is nearly 5LPA. Mostly L&T, Tata projects, and Adani infrastructure visit the campus to hire students. Internships are offered in less number having a low stipend amount where they treat us like workers.

Infrastructure: Our college is known for it’s infrastructure and campus. In labs, some equipments did not work and need replacements. We have two canteens out of which one is a night canteen but it’s food is not good. For sports we have a big ground but the cricket ground has grass on it. Hostel is very bad with outdated facilities. They have Indians toilets and common balconies shared between two rooms.

Faculty: Some teachers are good but I had the worst experience with mathematics teachers, they literally roast the students. There is no gap between the consecutive exams, we do not get enough time to study. Our university is autonomous and it has a popular curriculum which is industry oriented and concept based. Exams have no gaps and are very difficult.
