Good college for exploring and has very less restrictions.
Placements: Placements at this college are above average for those who really want to do it. The highest package is around 60 LPA, and average is 10 LPA. Talking about my course, we don't have data for it as it was introduced last year. But for other courses, internships are tough to get and coding culture is not that great.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of this college is not decent except few buildings. Wi-Fi is provided in the library. Few lecture halls are there. Classrooms are not good. But it is improving now and will take some time to improve. Hostels for the first year are not decent as they are very old but new hostel is going to be build.
Faculty: Faculty members are average. You will have to learn by yourself but you will get the resources from college. Faculty members are qualified and knowledgeable but don't have expectations high. Course curriculum is average not that much relevant and doesn't teach what is actually needed. Semester exams are hard but you can get good grades by studying just 2 weeks before.

SVNIT college review for the Artificial intelligence department of SVNIT.
Placements: Artificial Intelligence has only two batches as of 2024–2025, and the first batch of the integrated B.Tech + M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence starts in the year 2024. Our first placement will take place next year, in 2026, along with the B.Tech batch of AI. Most students opt for placements in the 3rd year, and as per Computer Science Engineering, the average placements are decent, so AI students may have better placement opportunities in the coming years.
Infrastructure: Most of hostels are well-maintained and cleaned on a regular basis. Rooms are not air-conditioned, and it gets really hot during April and May. The mess food is not so good, but hygiene is maintained, so I would say it's okayish. SVNIT has one of the biggest libraries with a good number of academic books. The library is one of the most occupied spaces on campus. Wi-Fi services are available in labs, hostels, and the library, and they good to an extent. Labs are air-conditioned and well-maintained. The AI department is poor compared to other departments.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, as expected from an NIT. They are really helpful in classes, labs, and project guidance. The course curriculum has changed for our batch and is totally relevant, except for a few subjects. The exam papers are tougher than average but manageable with proper preparation. The passing marks are 12 out of 30 and 30 out of 100, but cumulative is to get passed including projects, tests, and semester exams.
Other: AI has a good future according to me, and NIT Surat also supports this view. Better infrastructure and an improved campus life with enhanced fests are a must. Also, sports facilities are not good enough for the talent that the college is filled with.
