It is a decent college to choose for.
Placements: Placements are average in this college. Placements depend upon the person and their capabilities, and on their efforts which they are ready to put forward for their own betterment. It is a good college and helps you with the right sort of resources.
Infrastructure: It is a lush green campus away from the hustle of the city, but it has a bit of location disadvantage in placement point of view. New infrastructure has been built for classes, library and computer labs. New hostels are well-furnished and equipped with basic required amenities, but I don't know about old hostels.
Faculty: There are some good courses for technical as well as personality development. You can find some well-qualified faculty members and PhD holders from IITs. The course lags a bit in developing that industry connect, but nowadays it is a very normal case with most of the engineering colleges around us.
Other: Our college experience is like some other colleges where there is a well-desired set of events and functions happening around without any change in the scenario.

This college is average from the point of quality education and placements.
Placements: The placement scenario in this institution is average. Very few companies visit the campus for placements. The training and placement cell is trying its best to improve this scenario, but there is still a long way to go. Major companies that used to visit the campus are Infosys, Sonalika Tractors, Wipro, and TCS. The average salary package offered by any company was 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the best part of this institute. An eye-soothing landscape and all the facilities are available which you can find in any premier institute in the country. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and the swimming pool, shopping complex, central library, newly built lecture hall complex and many more are few of the things that make the campus life amazing.
Faculty: The faculty members are well-qualified and hard-working except some of them. The faculty to student ratio is 1:20. Most of the teachers are knowledgeable in their respective fields. Industry exposure provided isn't that good. Teachers take help of projectors and presentations to deliver the lectures which makes attending lectures much more interesting.
Other: Different scholarships and financial assistance programmes are available for students. There is connectivity with all the major cities nearby, by road or rail. The campus crowd is not good, and most of the students make the hostel life pathetic. Very few fests are held in the institute which are of no use. There is a lack of sports facilities, and the college is surrounded by a village area.

I don't think that this college is worth the money.
Placements: Placement in our college is not so good its very below than average no high class companies visit here. He percentage is about 20 to 30 percent yes there is a placement cell main companies are infosys and some other small companies its not so efficient.
Infrastructure: Labs are very good only computer labs campus is fully Wi-Fi, but branch labs for mechanical branch are bad they don't have enough machines for good engineers food in canteen is just good hostel in old hostel are worse but in new made hostel they good mess is not very good.
Faculty: Yess teachers are very qualify but just for name some teachers are very bad at teaching no we don't get industry exposure, some faculty members don't have good speaking of language if you want a high quality education this college is not for them. Some time they behave very wrong.
Other: This college don't have enough fest and if by somehow we had an event it was after 5 pm that mostly time events are not allowed in college time. And the most thing we miss here is good campus crowd. This college is in 100 acre so it feels so empty. Campus surroundings are good there are lots of fields around college so we get fresh air.

It is a good college, but poor regarding the placements.
Placements: The placements in SBSSTC are good in diploma section, students of the diploma of all the branches are mostly placed on the campus. Approximately, 90% of diploma students are placed every year, whereas, in engineering, the placements are too poor, only a few students from computers and electronics are placed on the campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is awesome. The institute has won the greenery award in north India. Its a 100 acres college with great lecture halls, laboratories, workshops etc. The hostels are well-maintained in the college. The college has a very lavish playground. It has badminton courts, volleyball courts, gym, lawn tennis courts, basketball courts, and many more things are available, to grace on its infrastructure, canteens, shopping complex, etc., are available.
Faculty: The faculty are good here. Mostly, they are from the renowned colleges of India. The faculty of the department have great humour. They are helpful and well knowledgeable. The course curriculum is also competitive. There is a very good atmosphere to study.

Best college in the India.
Placements: Here, 60%-70% of students got placed. The highest salary is Rs. 35,000 per month and the lowest salary is Rs. 15,000 per month. The roles were offered to the students is to be a supervisor or something else. There is a placement cell in the college. It is very efficient as students get jobs from it.
Infrastructure: In my college, there are lots of facilities available like the WI-FI in every section, a huge library, a clinic on the campus, etc. The hostel here is good, but the hostel food is not that good. I would like to rate my college 6 out of 10. I didn't face any infrastructure issues during the tenure at the college, but the buildings were good.
Faculty: The teachers here are very helpful. They teach us very gently. Even they cleared all of our doubts. They use a unique technique so that students can understand in a very short way and this is really very good for us. Teachers are really very knowledgeable and well educated. They give some important questions for the exams and give their best for our results.
Other: We do lots of events like the flash mob. Also, the celebration of teachers day and the freshers day.

No need to take admission in this college, mainly for faculty, teaching procedure and placement.
Placements: The placement record of this college is approximately negligible. Mainly, in my batch, not any student was placed in any company. Some students are getting placed through off -campus with a package of 2-3 lacs per annum. Only the IT companies come here. Some donation is offered for the financially weak candidate of approximately 5000/year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is average like Wi-Fi facility, labs and classrooms. The laboratories are only for the namesake. They are not performing any experiment, we only copy the experimental procedure in the practical copy. The hostels are average and mess is not good. The canteen facilities are also average. Mainly in Beas Bhawan, during this year, two students were in one room, and it was congested.
Faculty: The faculty are of a different kind of nature. Some were helpful, some were of irritating behaviour and behaved like illiterates. Some faculty were too good, but they have no time to attend the class as they are busy in their own works. Some lecturers are not clear about what they say and what they teach. They always try to force us to do the assignment for their time pass.
Other: The fee of the college is too high as compared to different government colleges. Its name is only the government one, but there is nothing like the government college. I think from my point of view, that was a private college and we are forced to attend the lecture and other programs.

Dissatisfied with the management, placement and the college fee.
Placements: There are no placements, mainly in core branches like mechanical and electrical etc. Students try to get job externally, but they failed. Some students were placed from computer science engineering and electronic engineering branches in companies like Wipro and Infosys etc. The highest salary package is 4 lakhs per annum. 1-2 % of the student got placed at that time. No need to take admission in this college according to my experience.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility is available. The classrooms are also average. The library is also available, but limited books are available. All engineering or related books are not available here. You need to buy online from e-commerce sites like Amazon and Flipkart. The medical facilities are not good. Sports and games facilities are average. Annual sports meet is organised here, some ministers also come. The students are to be forced to attend the games, and if you are absent, you have to pay the penalty, this is very wrong.
Faculty: There are many good lecturers present, but they do not have enough time to attend the classes. Every senior teacher has some other responsibilities, and they were always busy in their work, and they order the junior lecturer to teach the classes.

Best government college for engineering in Punjab.
Placements: There was a lack in campus placements in the year of 2016. But now, the college is doing a commendable job in creating opportunities for students by inviting a number of employers. The polytechnic wing of the college provides the best efforts in the field of placements. Infosys signed a MoU with the college for recruitment of the students on the first day of every year.
Infrastructure: It is Punjab government's premier autonomous institute with NAAC grade B certification. Each and every department has its own block. Labs are there for close examination of various technical terms and courses. A well-equipped library with a considerable number of books is available i.e technical, general knowledge and e-books. A healthcare dispensary is there for handling the emergency cases. A shopping complex is also there inside the college campus. There are 4 hostels for boys allotted as per the year of study i.e Satluj Bhawan for the 1st year, Yamuna Bhawan for the 2nd year and diploma students, Ganga Bhawan for 3rd-year students and Beas Bhawan for the final year students. 2 hostels for girls named Saraswati Bhawan and Mata Gujri Bhawan are also there. There is a Teacher's Colony where the teaching and non-teaching faculty members reside with their families.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are from IITs and NITs and with a lot of experience. They are able to clear the doubts of a student as soon as possible. Various seminars are being organised for to improve the knowledge level of the faculty members. The college is UGC-autonomous so they are following their own pattern of exam settings. The college follows the pattern of Maharaj Ranjit Singh State Technical University for scheduling the exams and tests.
