Good placements and well-qualified faculty in the CSE course.

Placements: Students were getting good placement opportunities at this college. At this college, every year around 30 to 40% of the CSE graduates get placed. The average package offered in this college was between 3-4 LPA. Top recruiters at the college were IT companies like Infosys, Wipro, Mira, UBON, etc.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for this CSE course at this institution were above average. Students were getting computer labs for programming and coding practice. Necessary facilities like Wi-Fi, library, canteen, sports, medical, etc., were available on the college campus. All these facilities were properly managed by the college management. Hostel facilities were also available for the students.

Faculty: The faculty of the CSE course at this institution was qualified and knowledgeable. Teachers were giving proper practical and theoretical knowledge to the students. Teachers at the college were experienced in the field of teaching. The course curriculum of our college was designed according to industry requirements, which makes the students industry-ready. Exams conducted at our college were not very hard to pass. Teachers were supportive and helped students in their internships and project work.

It's good if you attend the college regularly and don't depend on placement.

Placements: There are no placements in our college. Though you can apply off-campus. Teachers help you to give placements. Students need to do internships externally by Internshala. One good thing is that they give us a Coursera account where you can watch many videos and get certificates.

Infrastructure: The college is still in a developing and constructing stage. There is no Wi-Fi in our college. Neither there are air-conditioners. The classrooms are somewhat old. The canteen is okay and I would rate it with 2 out of 5. The food served is good. We have good labs and a library. Sports facilities are also available.

Faculty: Semesters are easy and if you study you can easily pass. Teachers help students in internal assessments. This course is affiliated with Mumbai University so it's the same. Teaching quality is also good and they explain all things but due to vast portion, they had to teach us fast.

It is good, and there may not be any placements, but they train you for higher education.

Placements: Till now, I heard that there is no placement in our college. But we don't know the truth because the faculty said that there are placements in the mechanical engineering department, but I don't know about computer engineering. Internships are likely held from the 2nd year of the course. I am a second-year student, so we applied for internships on the Internshala website. We hope that will be very helpful for us.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available all over the college. I am not sure because we are pursuing education in the online mode. But the campus is huge. For every department, there is a different building. No hostel is available in our college. We can only travel and pursue our education. Sports and games might be available, I am not sure.

Faculty: The teachers give their 100% in educating their students. Since we are studying in the online mode, we can't take their 100% efforts. The curriculum perfectly makes students industry-ready. The pass percentage is 98% in the online mode.

Other: I chose this course because of my interest, and I got selected in TFWS scheme, which is a profit for engineering students, no need to pay tuition fees. This course has a wide range of work availability. We can do our own business with this course knowledge. Scholarships are 100% available for many students. Many are studying under the scholarship scheme only. Fests, events, and connectivity could only be available in the offline mode.

Most regretful decision I ever made.

Placements: 0 students are placed in my course through college, not a single company for job offer has came in my college. 1 company for students internship was landed in our college and 2 students were selected.

Infrastructure: We have wired connection in all classroom for laptops, food quality is also good, sports and cultural fests is also arranged regularly and are good. Medical facilities are not good and also drinking water tanks were empty most of the times .

Faculty: Some teachers were helpful, some are arrogant they doesn't help at all. Overall, faculty members are good but the course it doesn't make us industry ready. Semester exams were quite difficult.

Other: I choose because I live in same city. And it is easy to travel.

Review of Shivajirao S. Jondhale College of Engineering (SSJCOE).

Placements: Computer branch is one of the branches in which more than 35 students got placed out of 90. The highest salary package offered is 4.8 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, etc., have placed our students. Almost 60% of the students are provided with an internship.

Infrastructure: Our college has a football court, cricket pitch, kabbadi ground, etc. It also has a well-equipped gym, indoor games and Wi-Fi. The canteen is also good and clean with reasonable rates and tasty food. Infrastructure is good and well-maintained.

Faculty: Teaching staff members are supportive and helpful. They give 100% to help us and are well-qualified. Computer department staff members are well-experienced, and most of them have an experience of more than 10 years. They also have PhD degrees. Teachers help students to be up to date.

Good placement drives for 2020 batch and internship offers for the remaining batches.

Placements: In my batch, at least 40% were placed in a company through pooled drives and on-campus drives. The highest salary was 4.5 lac per annum by Xoriant and the lowest was 2.3. Jio was one of the top recruiting company in our batch and branch. the internship was not mandatory in my batch (2020) so the college didn't handle it for us.

Infrastructure: The computers in the lab are fully functional with high specs and internet connectivity. The staff is knowledgeable and helps during the experiments in labs. Library has all the books related to every subject and has up to 10 copies on each which can be taken from the library to read there itself or home by giving your library card. Classrooms are neat and are almost cleaned every day. The food in the canteen is good and provides a lot of varieties at affordable prices. There are two grounds in the college for students one with football goals for playing the sport. The college also has a gym and indoor games room.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified and are very approachable. The head of the department also teaches some subjects and is always encouraging new and interesting ideas if approached with any. The teachers sometimes can't complete the syllabus in this case every teacher provides you with a question to study from with answers. The curriculum is up-to-date with the University of Mumbai. Unfortunately, industry readiness is not achievable through this course as it is theory-oriented.

Other: I chose Computer Science because I'm interested in coding and was excited about it from the end of my 10th board exams. I think the curriculum followed in the University of Mumbai is to be blamed and not the college as it has to follow it. Either way, it can be improved if we take a more technical oriented curriculum or at least a 50-50 approach with both receiving the same weightage. The college has a yearly Techfest and cultural programme also it celebrates all the major festivals in the college and has an official first-year welcome party.

Good college and helpful faculty.

Placements: 10% of Students are placed in my course The highest salary is 4 LPA, the lowest salary is 2.5lpa and the average salary is 3 LPA. The recruiting companies for my course are Wipro, Accenture etc. We didn't get any internship we ourselves wen to some companies and find internship there.

Infrastructure: Well the infrastructure is good & specially our department provides so much facilities like internet connection in every computer but there is no Wi-Fi facility Labs and classrooms are good in some classrooms there are also projectors provided for students.

Faculty: Yes the teachers are helpful, qualified but they lack of knowledge Teaching quality is good and also they help us during project work Some teachers are there which gives us extra knowledge about the subject which is helpful for job interviews Yes the course curriculum is relevant to us.

Other: I choose this course because I like computers and from my childhood I like to gain more and more knowledge about computers.

Placements: Our college conducts placements for students who are pursuing the last year of engineering. They always forced us to attend the interviews and also always encourage us and prepare us to get placed in interviews. They always try to improve our technical knowledge. They conduct lectures and make us practice regularly.

Infrastructure: Almost 40% of the students got internships from our college. The lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA in placements. They taught us training sessions efficiently so that students can easily catch them. They always provide free learning to the students. The campus is more effective and has separate classrooms for each year. Departments are well managed, and practical rooms have sufficient computers, so there is no issue in doing practicals. Each student can execute their practicals on their own PCs.

Faculty: Faculty are very well educated and have in-depth knowledge in their field, which is necessary for students. The computer engineering course is very important and interesting rather than other courses because when we perform practical by knowing its output, then we try something more effective rather than that result.

Other: The college organises college fests, department fests. Annual functions like gathering, sports and technical events are organised here. The college also offers scholarships to backward class students.
