B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2019
3.0
Decent college with average placements. I don't know about current time.
Placements: I was from the ECE branch, and the placement in my course was decent. Most of my batchmates, almost 60% of them, got placed in the mass recruiting company TCS with an average package of INR 3.36 LPA. I don't remember anyone getting placed in core ECE, at least from my class.
Infrastructure: The library was good enough; it was actually very good. The sports facilities were also good; there was an indoor badminton court, a volleyball court, and also basketball. The college canteen food was okay, not bad, but the canteen area was small. Classrooms were average.
Faculty: Some faculty members were helpful, but others were not very professional. Faculty members had knowledge, but some lacked the ability to reciprocate it to students. There were unnecessary assignments that needed to be changed; instead, they should focus on the overall personality and skills of the students. Semester exams were quite okay.
Other: Overall, in 2019, it was an okay college with average placements. I think they should have changed the curriculum and focused on industry-demanding skills. I joined because it was an affordable college at that time with decent facilities. At last, the college should also give students insight into market demands and skills, irrespective of their core branch. Most of the student's goal is to get a decent job; if there is proper guidance on what skills are required to get those jobs, it will be beneficial, and if there are more jobs in other than core branches, just be honest with them and give them insight so they can develop skills according to market demands.

Overall it is a good college with good infrastructure and labs.
Placements: About 80% of the students are placed in our college. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.4 LPA. Top companies like TCS, Cognizant, Jaro, etc., visit the campus. The internship percentage is 100%. Roles offered are system engineer, web developer, backend developer, and front-end developer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available for students all the time on the premises. Labs are well-equipped with instruments for the respective subjects. Different blocks are allotted to different streams. Library is quite huge and equipped with books for various courses.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and highly qualified professionals who are very helpful towards students and very knowledgeable in their respective subjects. The course we study is up to date to the real world and helpful in achieving their goals. Exams are moderate if you study for them.

I definitely recommend this college.
Placements: Vaishnav College is known for its placements. Around 80% of the students in our batch got placement. Top recruiters for Vaishnav are TCS, Systango, Yash Technology, Impetus, etc. Almost 60-70% of the students are placed in TCS. Top job roles offered here are software developer, ITIS, etc. The lowest salary package offered in our course is 3.25 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. Labs are equipped with the necessary tools and resources. Classrooms are also wide and spacious. Wi-Fi facility was available. The library had most of the course books along with other reference books. Canteen food is also good. The sports complex is very good.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, but spoon-feeding is not done there. But while exploring the knowledge if someone got stuck somewhere, teachers definitely help them. The course curriculum was relevant and was on industry norms which is one of the reasons for good placement.

I was not satisfied with our college in terms of placements and knowledge provided.
Placements: There were around 120 students in our batch of electrical and electronics. Around 35 companies visited the campus for placements. Around 3-4 companies offered core jobs in electronics or electrical, and the rest all were either non-technical or management related profiles or for CS and IT students. Around 60 out of 120 students of our branch got placed. The lowest salary package offered was 1.9 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 3.3 LPA. The salary offered was ranged between Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 21,000 per month. Internship facility was not provided by the institute. Students need to get internships on their own.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus was not up to the mark. It was a small campus handling the crowd of around 3000 students, including engineering, pharmacy, BBA, and architecture students. Hostel campus was big enough, but the facilities were next to nothing. The quality of the food and service was very bad.
Faculty: Faculty members of the college were mixed. Some were really kind and helpful, but some were least interested in talking after the lecture. There were very few people who motivate us to try new inventions in our field. The course curriculum includes almost 90% theory and 10% practical, which doesn't give us an idea about the industry.

My college was not so happening & convincing for a student to built his complete personality.
Placements: Placements were not so good. Only selective companies came for placements. Exposure was good only for people who belong from computer Science & Information technology. No core companies were called for students who belong from EC, EI, Civil, Mechanical & Electrical.
Infrastructure: Average infrastructure, lab facilities were good but practical knowledge were not up to the mark. Teachers never took initiative to motivate the new invention or projects. Classrooms were good & spacious. Quality of food in canteen was not so good. Sports facilities were good.
Faculty: Course curriculum was same as instructed by university. Faculty members were good in teaching. Teaching methods like powerpoint presentations were used but not so often. Industrial exposure was once in 4 years of degree. Course curriculum was not so useful because practical knowledge was not given properly. Things which need to be thought to me make students capable to work in the industry with good amount of knowledge. No focus was given on internships.
Other: Events were good but the level of events was not so high. Cultural exposure in events was good. Crowd was mixed from all over the state. Extra curricular activities were not so much.

Good infrastructure and placements, but the teaching methods are old.
Placements: Most of the companies come for CS and IT. There is no much scope for EC, but you can sit for TCS. Most of my friends got selected for TCS. Our college has a tie-up with other colleges for placements. Getting placed outside the college is very tough. One should focus on skill development and opt for higher studies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Library, canteen and sports facilities are good. The condition of labs is average. Classrooms are good. Quality of food in the canteen is good. Many books are available in the library. The sports section is a little bit small. The placement cell is good.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. Some are highly qualified, and some are average, but they are more focused on assignments and attendance rather than labs and practical knowledge. Teaching methods are too old. I have visited only one electronic industry during my graduation.

It is a good opportunity to explore yourself only if you go in the way the college wants you to.
Placements: Placements in college are okay. Most of the companies visit the campus for placements of CS, IT, and EC students. There are not many opportunities for ME, AU, civil and electrical students. It's very good for those who want to go with textile. TCS is the mass recruiter of this college. Other than TCS, Cognizant and Wipro also provide placements, but they don't hire in bulk. Besides this, many other good companies like Byju's, Jaro Education and several non-technical companies visit the campus for placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Bus facilities are always available regardless of events or programs. Events like tech fests and cultural fests are organised. Various other opportunities like competitions held in IITs are provided, and students are informed about opportunities of national and international level. Sports opportunities are also provided, but attendance is not given for the same.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good. EC department is very strict. You have to attend the classes every day, even in the final semester. I suggest not to choose EC as you won't be able to participate in any extracurricular activities. CS and IT branches are considerably less strict, so better go for it. Whereas ME and AU branches are not strict at all, and there are no regular classes. You'll be free to do anything. Students who wish to do any preparation in the 3rd and 4th year must go with these branches.
Other: The college conducts a lot of co-curricular activities.

Everything is going well. I request TPO sir, other placement officers to provide good placements.
Placements: I can't say about the placements because, in my college, only a few companies come for placements like TCS, Voltase, Shakti, etc. Let us see what happens to our batch. We have a humble request to our TPO sir; please invite as many companies as possible.
Infrastructure: There are many facilities available in SITS like a library, medical, sports, canteen, seminars hall, auditorium etc. There is a students section for any complaints and queries of students. If I talk about the quality of labs in my college, then it is true that they are not well-maintained and there is a lack of availability of instruments.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and well experienced. But I don't understand how few teachers made their profession in teaching, because they don't know how to teach the students. All the time, they say that behave your self, otherwise, I will cut your marks.
Other: There are many events and programs conducted. Many cultural activities, sports activities, motivational seminars, start-up seminars etc. are conducted. All the facilities are available in SITS.
