Siliguri Institute of Technology Admission 2025 (Open): Courses, Fees, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

SIT offers eight courses at UG and PG levels, including BBA, BCA, MBA, etc. The courses are offered through five colleges/ departments, namely College of Engineering & Management, College of Professional Studies, College of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, College of Computer Application and SIT Diploma College. Candidates must complete Class 12 for UG courses. Graduation is necessary to apply for any of the PG course available at SIT Siliguri.

Siliguri Institute of Technology (SIT Siliguri) is not under CUET. The institute accepts scores of various other national and state-level entrance exams for admission in the courses offered. These include- MAT, JEMAT, WBJEE, JEE Main, etc. Candidates must appear for the accepted entrance exams for admission in their preferred course at Siliguri Institute of Technology.

Yes, candidates can get admission in the BSc course at SIT Siliguri with 60% in Class 12. The institute has not specified the minimum required aggregate for the same, but, since 60% is a good score, candidates are eligible for admission. A pass in Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of  Chemistry/ Biotechnology /Biology /Computer Science /Computer Application/ Technical Vocational Subject as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the three subjects as stated above in regular class mode with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate in case of candidates belonging to reserved category is required to apply for BTech course. Additionally, candidates must have passed Class 12 with English with at least 30% aggregate.

Yes, Siliguri Institute of Technology does refund fees, but the refund of college/tuition fees is based on some terms and conditions. The candidate must request the institute for a fee refund before the commencement of the new session. The candidates are advised to contact the administration department of the college for more details regarding the fee refund.

The students pursuing a course from the institute are open to scholarships provided by the West Bengal Government. West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation provides Post-Matric Scholarships and Merit-cum-Means Scholarships. Scholarships will be provided to eligible students in order of merit and subject to the budgetary allocation provided by the State Government. For renewal, the applicant will be eligible for the scholarship if he/she has obtained 50% aggregate in his/ her previous examination.

Siliguri Institute of Technology, SIT has announced their cut off for various courses provided as well as B. Tech courses with specializations. For example, the cut off of B. Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (WBJEE) is 105580 and that of B. Tech in Electrical Engineering (JEE Main) is 1185010. BBA is a three-year course divided into six semesters at SIT Siliguri. The course includes core papers, discipline-specific electives, generic electives, and skill enhancement courses. The students are required to choose one of the specialisations in the fifth semester from the following streams: Finance, Marketing, and Human Resource Management. BBA is offered in three specialisations, General, Accountancy, Taxation and Auditing, and Hotel Management. BBA is offered in two specialisations, General and Hospital Management.
