Absolutely fabulous College for students and really good infrastructure of college and hostel also.
Placements: Near 75% to 80% Students will be placed in my courses. There are many companies coming for placement like TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, cognizant and so many. The highest package provided is near 7.6 lacs per annum for software engineer role.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for college and hostel is so good for students. It's fully environmental friendly and peaceful campus library is 24 hrs open for students. The classrooms are also good. There is no issue for food for students as there are lots of options available in campus.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful. They always help students. They are teaching top quality education. The course taught by college is relevant for students. Difficulty level of semester exam is same for all branches. And semester exam pass percentage is near about 100%.

Overall, it is a perfect college.
Placements: Sinhgad's training and placement cell provides equal opportunities for students to get placed in reputed companies. The training and placement cell provides all essential training regarding placement drives which helped us in campus interviews. But the disappointment is that only a few core companies come for drives. Students have a second option of getting placed in mass recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: According to my experience, I would say Sinhgad has the best infrastructure ever. The institute has a central library, departmental library, machine workshops, computer labs etc. Hostel facilities are good. The college also provides facilities such as cricket ground, football ground, swimming pool etc.
Faculty: I have pursued my bachelor's degree in production engineering. The faculty members in the production department are highly educated and well experienced. This course provides all the essential training for students to get industry-ready, but only a few opportunities are available to get placed in core companies. Semester exams are conducted as per the norms of SPPU. It is quite easy to get good marks.
Other: Events, fests, and campus crowd actually made my college life memorable. There are extracurricular activities such as Sinhgad Karandak, carnivals etc.

It is a beautiful college with knowledgeable teachers. It is a good college to build your career.
Placements: Placements of our college are pretty good considering a huge amount of students studying here. Approximately 1,000 students have completed their graduation here with 60% placements. The highest salary package offered is around 12 LPA, and the average salary package offered is about 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: All basic facilities are available in the college. Our college library has a capacity of more than 1,000 students at a time. Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire campus. Classrooms are digitally equipped. The hostel is one of the finest places to live on the campus. Mess is strictly average.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable with excellent communication. Teaching quality is top class, and teachers are friendly with students and help them throughout the course. Semester exams are tough, but over the course, it gets easy. The passing percentage is around 50%, which is pretty much gettable.
Other: A fest named Karandak is one of the main events of this college.

Sinhgad college is one of the pretty good colleges in Pune.
Placements: Placements are good every year, and a good number of companies visit here, and there is a huge scope for placement. There is an opportunity for students to grab a good salary package and also under good supervision with a very good placement record. Sinhgad college is one of the best colleges.
Infrastructure: The campus buildings are beautiful with proper maintenance, and there is a huge space with a well-planned layout. Labs are well-equipped with proper faculty members to guide you. Washrooms are good. Many hygienic cafes and mess are provided in the college, which serves good and healthy food.
Faculty: Faculty members in Sinhgad college are very supportive, friendly, and well versed with the curriculum to guide you throughout your years with a particular course. The teaching level is also good. The staff is very informative and also helps in gaining extra knowledge of your field.
Other: Events and campus crowd is very happening and bustling.

Average to low Placements in 2017, but a good enough campus for the tenure of the college.
Placements: Placements were pretty average as compared to colleges in B-Tier. The top 25% of the students in the batch were able to get campus placements, while the others struggled. The average salary offered was around 3-4 LPA. Roles were offered in Design and Manufacturing Sector. A placement cell exists and can help you with your placement.
Infrastructure: Ample facilities are available in the college. The college has Wi-Fi available for the students in the hostel as well as in the campus. There are multiple sports grounds for various sports as well. The labs are well maintained and the classes are decent. The food offered in the hostel is okay, not too good though.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and a major portion of them are highly qualified. They are very helpful towards interested students and can help them clear their doubts or offer assistance if needed as well. Industry exposure is well provided by regular industrial visits as well. The curriculum needs to be updated though, but that is on par with University affiliation.

The college needs to increase placements in core companies.
Placements: Many IT companies visit the campus to recruit students from our college, and the core companies are very few. There is no hope of placements for all students. Some may get placed, and others may have to go for IT or sales and marketing jobs.
Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure. The parking space is good. The campus has an awesome food complex and a huge ground. There is a lot more to explore on the campus. Classrooms are very good. The campus has Wi-Fi, library, medical facilities and a hospital for ladies. Overall, the infrastructure is good.
Faculty: There is a lot more to learn if you are willing to. I can assure you that every teacher will help you if you are interested in doing some research work or project. All the staff members in Sinhgad College is good and well-behaved. Peons are helpful.
Other: Sinhgad College organises a very big event known as Sinhgad Karandak. It is conducted not only for Sinhgadians but for all students in Pune. It is a two-day event in which various competitions are organised, and we have international DJ night on the last day of the event. The campus surrounding has greenery. Many extracurricular activities are conducted.

The placements during 2015-16 were great. Well qualified faculty and good infrastructure.
Placements: The placement was very good during the 2015-2016 academic year. Almost 80% qualified students got jobs in various companies like Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, Bosch, Bekaert, Edge, Atlas Copco, Workmedia, Byju's and many more. They all were offered salary packages ranging from 3 LPA to 4.3 LPA. So, the placement was good, and almost 80-85% of the students who wanted a job got those.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure here is awesome. As the college is situated on hills, the temperature here is pretty healthy, especially during summer. The classrooms, laboratories, etc., are in excellent condition with their infrastructure (Wi-Fi, blackboard, projector, fans) and ready to serve you. The college has cricket, football, tennis grounds, and everybody is allowed to show their skills. About food, I would love to tell you that the food here is awesome and there is no need to worry. You just need to worry about your stomach as chips, healthy and fresh food are ready to serve you in the college.
Faculty: The faculty here are highly qualified and do their best to serve you. They offered you the best knowledge, and you need to attend the classes. Most of the staff is highly qualified with M.Tech and PhDs. The teachers use projectors and blackboard to teach students in the college.
Other: 'Sinhgad Karandak', the top-rated event in Pune is organised by the college every year during Jan-Feb for 3-4 days, and it attracts a huge crowd around the city and beyond. Various Bollywood members join as a judge, and film parties come here on-campus to promote their films during the events. Fashion show is the most awaited event after the opening concert. Throughout the year, many events are organised by the college where you can show your talent.

Awesome Infrastructure and friendly campus.
Placements: In this year (2017) there are many companies are for campus recruitment. But only 2 companies are from core field. From production department only few students were placed, about 10% students are placed.
2.5 lacs- 4 lacs of package were offer for students in placement. Companies like Kirloskar, mahendra are visited, but also IT field related companies like exchangers, Infosys, wipro are also offers jobs to engineers. In case of internship Sinhgad College is good almost 60-70% of students got internship from the college. Stipend was depended on every company's terms and conditions.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of Sinhgad College of Engineering is simply AWESOME. Campus is bigger and almost 60-70 acers of area is covered by Sinhgad technical education society. Wi-Fi network is available all over the campus. Labs are in very good condition and well maintained. Library of college is also very big and I never saw this much of bigger library. This library is having 8 floors. Medical facilities are also good where basic medical checkup is free in college clinic. Every sports ( Indoor and outdoor) is played in campus. Quality of labs and classroom is very good and well maintained. Every classroom is having projector which is good thing I guess. There are many canteens are available in college campus there you will find different varieties and quality of foods in campus. There is hostel available in Sinhgad College and thousands of students stays in college hostel. There are almost 18-20 buildings of hostels are there. In each room there is arrangement for 4 students. Where cots, table, chair, racks and also Wi-Fi is also available in hostel. I never face any infrastructure related issues during my tenure at the college.
Faculty: To be honest teachers of production engineering department is not friendly with students as expected. But they are very helpful. They are well qualified and almost every teacher did M.E./M.Tech or MBA. They have excellent knowledge in subject which they have to teach. Teaching quality is average. Teaching methods used are simple to understand. 1:10 is the ratio for teacher to students in this college. I got some industry exposure in this college. Course curriculum is very helpful for students in Sinhgad College of Engineering.
Other: There is big event name as "Sinhgad Karandak" is one of the biggest event not only in Sinhgad College of Engineering but also all over the Pune. Not only from Sinhgad College but also every college students from Pune are comes for this event. There are many fest are celebrates in this college. Carnival, dandiya night, traditional day, and other days and fests are celebrates in this college. Crowd of Sinhgad College of Engineering is very friendly to each other. Connectivity to each other is very good in college campus. Campus surroundings is also amazing. There is also facility like Scholarship are available for students who have financial problems or who are from reserved cast. There are many extra curriculum activities are available here. If you have good knowledge of automobile field you have many activities like STES racing, team craft, M baha, E baha etc.

Yes, your son can seek admission in production engineering directly in 2nd year via lateral entry mode. I would, however advise you to download information brochure from the website of DTE Maharashtra for knowing in detail other requirements.
