There is no such provision to get admission to MTech at the College of Engineering Pune (COEP) without having a valid rank/ score in GATE. COEP Technological University (formerly known as COEP) admissions to all courses are strictly based on merit only. Hence, those candidates who do not have a valid score or rank in GATE or MHT-MTech are not eligible for admission to MTech courses of the College of Engineering Pune (COEP).

Going as per the last year cutoff trends, the closing percentile for M.Tech. in Geotechnical Engineering stood at 14.98 Percentile, for M.Tech.3 in Environment and Water Resources Engineering again at 14.98 Percentile, for M.Tech.9 in Structural Engineering at 72.75 and for M.Tech in Transportation Engineering at 18.95 Percentile. Candidates who have completed BE/BTech in relevant discipline with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for Backward Class categories, Economically weaker section and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State) can apply for M.Tech at COEP Pune.

For the General HS category, the cutoff ranged from 4.33 to 20.54 percentile for M.Tech course specialisations. Therefore, students need to attain at least 4.33 percentile for admissions at COEP Pune. MHT CET M.Tech percentiles are required for admission to M.Tech courses at COEP, Pune.

Yes, the College of Engineering Pune (COEP) accepts the scorecard of JEE-Main. But the majority of seats are sanctioned for Maharashtra domicile students and are filled through MHT-CET. An additional 25% seats are provided for All India Candidates who are admitted through the JEE-Main score. Apart from UG courses like BTech the College of Engineering Pune also provides a wide range of PG and doctoral courses which have their own specified entrance exams through which students can enroll in the desired course.
