SOT PDEU admissions begin with registration. Candidates need to apply for the course of their choice. SOT PDEU accepts national-level entrance exams or conducts written test for admission to courses. Find below the step-wise :
STEP 1: SOT PDEU Application Process 2025SOT PDEU admission process
Candidates who are applying for All India Quota seats for BTech and MTech need to register on the official website of the university. For Government seats, aspirants must apply on the official website of The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) Gujarat. For all other courses, aspirants need to apply on the official website of SOT PDEU. Aspirants need to pay an application fee to register for a course.
STEP 2: Selection
SOT PDEU selects candidates for most of the programmes based on entrance exam scores. The school accepts JEE Main for BTech and GATE for MTech programmes. Non-GATE-qualified candidates are selected based on personal interview rounds. SOT conducts written tests for MSc and PhD programmes. For BSc, selection is based on merit in the last qualifying exam and performance of the candidates in the personal interview round.
STEP 3: Merit List and Admission Confirmation

In WAT, 50% weightage is given to research methodology and 50% to subject specific question. SOT PDEU BSc curriculum is divided into semester-pattern. Aspirants are required to study core and elective subjects throughout the programme and apart from this, a number of seminars also take place throughout the programme.
SOT PDEU BSc admission 2024 is entirely merit-based as admissions are based on marks obtained by candidates in the Class 12 or equivalent examination followed by the Personal Interview. No, candidates can take admission in M.Tech programme of SOT PDEU without GATE score also. The university accepts admission for non-GATE qualified candidates in Phase-II. Candidate who has applied for more than one branch has to appear in personal interview for all the respective branches separately
