SOT, Pandit Deendayal Energy University, offers a four-year BTech programme spread across eight semesters. The school offers BTech at the UG level in five major specialisations, such as Information and Communication Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, etc. The BTech programme also includes minor specialisations. SOT PDEU BTech admission is based on entrance exam scores. Candidates can apply through the JEE Main score. Additionally, 67% of seats are filled based on the JEE Mains Examination. SOT, Pandit Deendayal Energy University BTech course admissions are offered on All India and Government seats. Most steps are similar for getting admission on both type of seats. Find below step-wise admission process for SOT PDEU:
STEP 1: SOT PDEU BTech Application Process
Candidates who are applying for All India Quota seats need to register on official website of the university. For Government seats, aspirants must apply on the official website of the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat. After filling out the ACPC application form, aspirants need to provide their choice of college and course.
STEP 2: Merit Declaration
The university releases a merit list based on ACPC Counselling and JEE Main rank. Candidates with their names in the merit list are offered seats in the SOT, PDEU. Candidates can apply for BTech Biotechnology through GUJCET.
STEP 3: Admission Confirmation
Once selected, candidates are offered a seat in the university. 67% seats are offered under All India Quota and 33% of seats are offered under ACPC Quota. Aspirants need to pay the programme fee after receiving the offer letter to confirm their seat in the university.

SOT PDEU BTech Placements
SOT PDEU BTech placement 2024 has not been released yet. However, the university has a placement cell responsible for securing lucrative career opportunities for students. The university invites companies from various sectors to conduct the placement process at the Campus premises. Those students who have secured the placement also get the opportunity to do their final project in the placed company as an intern with a stipend at this phase. Upon completion of the internship, the students can get full-time employment.
The SOT PDEU placements for the Class of 2024 have concluded, achieving a placement rate of 90%. As per the latest report, the SOT PDEU BTech highest and average package stood at INR 42 LPA and INR 7.5 LPA, respectively. SOT PDEU application forms are out in the month of January. Candidates applying for BTech admission at SOT PDEU can start applying from January. The application forms are usually open till end of May, therefore candidates can also apply once Class 12 or JEE Main results are announced.
