IIT Roorkee announced the GATE 2025 result on March 19, 2025. To check the result, candidates will need to enter their GATE enrollment ID, registered email ID, and date of birth. The GATE exam is very prestigious among engineering and Science graduates. It is conducted every year by one of the IITs among the nine IITs. In 2024, IISc Bangalore conducted the GATE exam. The exam also opens various opportunities for engineering and Science graduates to work in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and in the field of research. SOT, Pandit Deendayal Energy University has concluded the placement drive batch passed out in 2024 with 90% placement rate. As per the latest report, over 175 recruiters participated in 2024 placements and offered over 550 jobs to the students of the 2024 batch. The total number of job offers provided to the Class of 20214 are tabulated below:

JEE Main is conducted in two sessions each year, with session 2 usually held in April. For the current cycle, NTA had announced the JEE Main Session 2 exam dates, and the exams for Paper 1 (BTech) were conducted on April 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8. The registration for session 2 is now closed. Now, prospective candidates should wait for the announcement of JEE Mains dates for the academic batch of 2026.

Candidates are first required to register for the programme of their choice at SOT PDEU. The school shortlists candidates for most of the courses based on entrance exam scores. SOT PDEU accepts JEE Main or GUJCET for BTech and GATE for M.Tech programmes. Non-GATE qualified candidates are selected based on qualifying exam score and PI round. Besides, SOT conducts written test for MSc and PhD programmes. For BSc admission, both merit and PI round is considered.

SOT PDEU offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and other courses to students. These courses are provided across Engineering and various other streams. The below-mentioned are the departments under the SOT PDEU:

SOT PDEU admission to BTech is based on entrance exam score.  Candidates can apply for BTech through JEE Main score. Admission to BTech is offered on All India and Government seats (ACPC Quota). Candidates can take admission in BTech Biotechnology through GUJCET score. Once selected, candidates are offered a seat in the university. 67% seats offered under All India Quota are filled based on JEE Main score and 33% offered under ACPC Quota are filled based on GUJCET score. Aspirants need to pay the programme fee after receiving the offer letter to confirm their seat in the university.

SOT PDEU BSc curriculum is divided into semester-pattern. Aspirants are required to study core and elective subjects throughout the programme and apart from this, a number of seminars also take place throughout the programme.
