The life at PDEU, placements, etc.

Placements: I am currently a first-year student so I personally haven't learned much about the placements. But I have seen the LinkedIn accounts of my seniors and they are doing internships in big companies like McKinsey, BlackRock, JP Morgan, etc. Other companies coming for placements include Google, Microsoft, etc. And, ofcourse, Reliance and it's allies (the college is owned by Mr. Mukesh Ambani). Officially, the highest package for last year was around 46 lacs, and average package is 7 Lacs.

Infrastructure: The campus infrastructure is top-notch, with all the facilities you can think of. The infrastructure is world class and the materials used in making everything, including the wood used, are very premium. Three main festivals are conducted: the main festival, the technology fest and the Navratri festival, the biggest and most famous festival in Gujarat, the state where the college is located. In the libraries, all types of books are present, may they be educational, self-help, or, most importantly, the genres not available in most of the college libraries: novels! About the classrooms, one thing I liked so much, which is very rare, is that they don't have those long benches; they have a single chair for every student and those chairs are made from great-quality wood. Of course, not to mention that most of the places except the mess are air-conditioned. The food at Mess is restaurant-like. I am a big foodie; in fact, I live for food and the food here is amazing. They offer very many varieties. The coffee is the best.

Faculty: The course curriculum is perfect for today's standards as they teaches both CS and things about business management. The faculty members are highly qualified individuals and they are very accessible. In fact, the topmost directors are also easily accessible and they are very friendly. Also, one thing I like very much is that there is no fee hike policy; the fee is exactly what they have said for all of it. They also offer scholarships for people who have ranked under 20,000 in Main .

Other: Firstly, I targeted the government colleges but I wasn't getting the required branches in the government colleges so I opted for the private ones and it was a great decision. Thankfully, I scored well in my main; not too well but I got a decent 95.05 percentile and that helped me secure admission to the college. They take admissions in two ways: one through the Main Board and another through the Gujarat Board. I went in through Main, though I live in Gujarat, where the competition is very high in the Gujarat board quota. The cutoff was around 96 percentile for the CE branch; the topmost was the CSBS (Computer Science and Business Systems) branch. If I got the CE branch, then I was going to choose this branch only as the course is designed by TCS (Tata Consultancy Services); in fact, my friends with 97 and 98 PR have also done so.
