Do not choose Khalsa College in your course preference.
Placements: I am from Hindi Journalism Evan Jansanchar Madhya. For my course, there is no placement or internship provided by our college. Whenever we talk to our HOD, she always says I am trying but none of the companies are relying on her, though she hasn't mailed any company. Sometimes she gives excuses that you need to come before, but now the time has passed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very poor. The building is very old and needs renovation. The desks provided in the classrooms are for small children. There is no playground for sports and no media lab for journalism students. They charge very high fees.
Faculty: Teachers are below average. The college administration always talks rudely, and the teachers do not seem to be qualified at all. The faculty provided by the college is average. There are laptops, but they are very old model with no Chrome. There is Wi-Fi, but without internet.
Other: I took this course as I wanted to perceive my future in this line. I wish there was more practical knowledge given to the students as our course mainly requires practical work.

The college is okay, mainly known for B.COM and there is good placement for B.COM and BBE.
Placements: My course is Hindi Journalism. There are 20 students out of which approximately 12 to 15 students get placement every year. College students get decent internships. A placement fair is organized here, and many companies come to select students.
Infrastructure: The classroom and library are okay but there is no ground for playing in the college. The canteen is okay, but the food is quite expensive and the quality needs some improvement. Medical faculty is available during emergencies and there is no hostel.
Faculty: The teachers are good and have a lot of knowledge, they teach things well. Semester exams are not very difficult, good marks can be obtained in them. Teachers help students understand things and tell them well about how to go for placement, how to do internships, how to keep things ready for the future etc.
Other: I took this course because I want to make my career in the field of journalism and after this course, we can do our job on the story, if we do things well.

The best faculty in Delhi University.
Placements: There is a placements cell in our college which provides placements from several identified companies like Mama Earth, News18, etc. Also the placements cell organizes its orientation programme every year for the students of final year where they discuss about mentorship and give career advices.
Infrastructure: You will get all your course books in our college library. Also there are computer labs for the E commerce courses of the college. There are also branches of NSS and NCC in our college. The sports department also focuses on the overall development of the players. Every year, sports day is organized in our college where various sports tournaments take place.
Faculty: The best thing about the college is that the faculty members are very helpful and friendly. They will solve every problem of yours when contacted. The course of journalism has so many extra curricular activities besides the theoretical knowledge. Semester exams are also very easy if we pay attention in the class.

I am disappointed with this college because it is not what I expected.
Placements: Placements basically depend on your skills. You need to work on your own to get a job. The college does not provide placements for Journalism students. A top course offered is maths (Hons.). There is no specific department of journalism teachers.
Infrastructure: There is no ground. It is a very small college compared to other DU colleges. The college campus is not that up to mark. The cafeteria is not that great. Hindi journalism is an inferior course in our college.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are average. We are doing online studies, and exams are conducted online. There is hardly any value of OBE because its name itself contains an open book. If we write exams with an open book, then there is no value.
Other: Our college has so many societies, and you can join them as per your interest like dance society, drama society, etc. Our college has an NSS service, which is my favorite one.

Review of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College, University of Delhi.
Placements: There are 40 seats in our course, and 22 Seats are filled on a merit basis in the year 2020. Top recruiting companies like India Today Group, Zee Media, etc., visit our college for placements. Only 15% of students got an internship in media houses like News Action Network, 24x7 News Online, etc. Roles like anchoring, reporting, print media journalist, technical media, etc., are offered to the students.
Infrastructure: There is a practical media lab in our college for practical media-related works. It provides facilities like Wi-Fi, a gym, a canteen, an auditorium, etc. There is no hostel facility in our college. The college is travel friendly with services like metro, bus, autorickshaw, E rickshaw, etc. The college also has a Gurudwara near it.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and perfect in what they do. They are very friendly and genuine. The course curriculum prepares the students according to their field of interest in media and journalism. The difficulty level of exams depends upon the students. The pass percentage is 33%.
Other: I enrolled in this course in the year 2020. I had a huge interest in media Journalism, and I have matched the cut-off list, and I got admitted to the college. Our college should improve the media lab facility. The campus is not huge when compared to other colleges, but the crowd is good.

It is a brilliant college, but the campus is small.
Placements: As I have been told by my seniors that there are not many placements in our particular course, but looking upon all the undergraduate courses, we have a good record of placements for B.Com (Hons) and B.Com programme. The placement cell of our college is one of the most imminent placement cells in Delhi University.
Infrastructure: The campus is very small, and it has no hostel. It doesn't have any sports ground, but the college conducts sports in a nearby stadium. The classrooms are very well-equipped. A very good library and Wi-Fi are available.
Faculty: The faculty members are very helpful and well qualified. The course curriculum is very much relevant to the Hindi journalism course. The semester examinations are not that tough, and the pass percentage is 33%.
Other: This college is one of the only 4 colleges providing Hindi journalism in Delhi University. The only con about this course is this very Hindi journalism course is non-funded. This is a Sikh Minority college that's making the crowd not very versatile, but the crowd is good as it is of the Sikhs.

Life in my college - A review.
Placements: Our college does not provide good placement facilities as it's not available for every course it only benefits a bunch of students. But they provide training and preparation programs for the interview and CV respectively. Some recruiters from the Phoneix, IBM, Royal Bank of Scotland etc. Provide job opportunities for students. They provide 2-3 lacs stipend per annum.
Infrastructure: Our college is not as huge as other colleges, there is only a single building with a small canteen which doesn't provide good food at all but the college and it's classrooms are well maintained and very clean. College has 4 well-equipped computer labs with the latest software updated, a library with books from all courses available and is fully air-conditioned and there are projectors available in every class.
Faculty: All the faculty members from every department of our college are well qualified, knowledgeable and well experienced, especially our department's teachers which have more than 10 years of experience. They are very helpful and often guides us for the career options, they mostly use practical methods of teaching and focuses on practical implications of the subject.
Other: Campus crowd is quite helpful and cheerful, college does have societies like music, dance, theatre, sports, drawing and NCC society as well as academic societies. The biggest event of the college is 'Surlok' which is the college fest, which is the medium of connecting with the students from the other colleges of DU.

This a very good overall.
Placements: There's no good placements for journalism students. But college has a good placement cell for the students of other courses. And college also don't provide internships to the students other then the Punjab kaseri newspaper. In journalism nobody gets the placement from college but other students get it.
Infrastructure: This college is not really a good college for journalism students. There are no media labs and any facilities available for students And canteen is too small for the crowd and was with very less facilities the food was not proper and provided nicely but the food quality was good.
Faculty: There were no permanent teachers for journalism. Initially the teachers of hindi department used to teach us. But then it got better with time. Good teachers came with time. We never visited any news channel because of out college or teachers. Teachers were very against of extracellular activities.
