SREC is one of the best colleges in Coimbatore .
Placements: The percentage of students getting placed in this course is 91% among the students who opted for placements. The highest package is about 25lpa, the lowest package is about 4 lpa, and the average package is about 12 lpa. The top recruiting companies are JP Morgan's, Amazon, HP, Accenture, Cognizant, Renly, etc. The percentage of students getting internship opportunities is about 85% and they got internships at companies like Health Edge, L&T, Multicoreware, Hexaware Technology, etc. The top roles offered in the course are software developer, data analyst, AI engineer, project manager, database engineer and many more.
Infrastructure: The college's facilities and infrastructure are good. The college has classrooms equipped with projectors and screens with Wi-Fi connections, well-equipped laboratories, a collaborative innovation center, an incubation center and a huge library with a wide range of books, including subject books, journals, magazines, and even storybooks. Also, we have a digital library and have access to books online. The hostel is quite good. The hostel room can easily accommodate 4 people in a single room and it has shelves to organise their belongings. The bathroom is common for a floor. The hostel food quality and taste are good. There is a canteen inside the campus; the food is good and it remains open during college working hours. There is a medical center inside the campus that is open 24/7 and an ambulance is also available for critical situations. There are a wide range of sports and games being trained on campus, and the students can join any of the sports they like.
Faculty: Most of the teachers in SREC hold advanced degrees from reputed institutions and some professors are actively involved in research. Teachers are very helpful and we can contact them anytime after the class hours. The teachers employ innovative teaching methods, including practical demonstrations and interactive sessions so we can easily understand things. The curriculum is relevant because it is framed based on industry requirements. The difficulty level of the exam varies from moderate to challenging. The pass percentage is >90%.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the faculty members .
Placements: Earlier placements were good. Last year, there were totally around 1040 offers in the entire institution in IT, and around 108 students were placed. But this year placements are too poor, like the total offers obtained are not even around 350 in IT, which is around 50. Companies say that students do not have the necessary skill set to get placed. So the management is trying to improve it by starting the placement classes in the second year itself. I hope they tackle this and bring back their reputation.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are decent, but sometimes the fans do not work properly. Restrooms are not maintained properly. Computers in labs do not work properly most of the time. Either the keys on the keyboard are broken or the system itself does not work. The hostel rooms are not well maintained, and the buildings are very old and need preparation, but they will cover this by painting the building and making it look new.
Faculty: Most professors do not know anything about the subject, even though they know they behave rudely towards the students. They blame you for everything. They do not take classes properly. They are mostly biased. They only like students who study well and do projects well. And they will never focus on weak students.
Other: I chose this course because everyone told me that the IT sector is the next big thing. I suggest that faculty members should be changed and the management should improve the infrastructure. Scholarships for ST and SC students are good, but not for general and BC students. Events are mediocre.

Dissatisfied with the college and its management team.
Placements: Till now only 5% students have been able to get placed. Rest of them got disqualified. The lowest package offered is 3 LPA and the highest is 8 LPA. Several companies like TCS, odashi Technology, rently, LTTS, VDS, mdi, etc. visit here. IT developer, cyber security, software developer, etc. are the roles offered.
Infrastructure: The college has a big building without Wi-Fi facility. Big labs are there in every Department but no real-time based problem-solving teachers are there. There is a big hostel but students live in it like animals live in a cattle. Hostel's food is the worst. After paying 9 lakh to the college as fees, I feel that cow dung is better than hostel's food.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful in the first semester, just after the admission. After sometime, their white faces turn black. After the first year, I have studied only via YouTube. So you can judge my opinion. This is my final year but until now, I haven't heard about an industrial visit. Semester exams would be very difficult for you if you depend only on the teachers and do not study from the internet.
Other: I had an interest in Technology from my childhood but this college started killing my dreams after the 1st-year. Practical classes should be conducted and real-time problem solving should be done. No events, no Dusherra, no Diwali, no holi, no Sarswatipuja, etc. are celebrated in this college. We sacrifice every cultural festival in this college. They only know about Pongal, which is celebrated 4 times in year.

Faculty members are good to engage, the infrastructure and the placement are also very awesome.
Placements: According to the recent placement details, there are almost 99% placements. The highest salary package offered in the college is 24 LPA and the highest salary package offered in our department is 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro and Zoho, and mainly TCS are recruiting students.
Infrastructure: The hostel has good food, water, and a clean environment. Wi-Fi facilities are also provided by the management and it works very fast. Like all other colleges, the food in the mess is very average. They provide non-vegetarian food that is served 2 times a week. The faculty members are also in the hostel to clear doubt for hostelers.
Faculty: The teaching techniques are good, the faculty members manage the portion and give it as easy to read. First, it contains only one department paper and the rest is other department papers. The first semester alone is difficult but the rest of the year is easy, to understand, and more comfortable to read the portions.

If you need the best placements, then this college is worth getting in.
Placements: Almost 90% of students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered is 36 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 3.6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2.4 LPA. Amazon is the top recruiting company that visits our college to hire students with a salary package of 36 LPA. About 120 students passed out in 2021 from our course. Almost 100 students opted for placements, and placed students are 90. The remaining 10 people have arrears, so they have not got a full chance to attend placements.
Infrastructure: The campus is surrounded by full Wi-Fi with decent speed. Every classroom in our college has projectors with 4 fans. Our course has the IOS lab. It also has two other labs which have Microsoft computers. There are two libraries, one for our department and for the whole college, where a separate block is allocated.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very supportive. They help a lot during placement training. Almost 90% of our course faculty members are PhD holders. It is an autonomous college, and semester exam corrections are strict. If you atleast write 10-25% of the answers, you can easily get passed.

Decent placements, average infrastructure, low CGPA.
Placements: Placements are pretty good for IT. Salary will be between 2.5L and 20L the average salary. About 95% of the students in my batch got placed. Some of the top recruiters are Zoho, Amazon, TCS, CTS, Bosch, Payoda, Infosys etc. Some of the roles are Content writing, software developer.
Infrastructure: Labs, Library, classroom facilities are pretty good but Wi-Fi will not be available ( management will say Wi-Fi is available) in the campus. Hostel building is pretty old and one guy got hurt from a ceiling fall accident last year. Food is good in the hostel but that's my personal opinion.
Faculty: Teachers are pretty good for IT, don't know much about other departments. Students are not generally allowed to talk to students of another gender. There are separate steps for boys and girls. The curriculum is good, you can easily pass the exams if you study for two days before the final exams for each subject. For my batch the first mark was around 8.5 ( CGPA out of 10), so if you wish to do higher studies then SREC may not be the right fit for you.
Other: The best thing about my department (IT) is that most of the people got placed is a good company with a decent salary package. Extracurricular activities are not much encouraged by the management, but you will have a decent ground. The football team is really good.

Very well satisfied college.
Placements: I'm the student of second year B.Tech IT and the placement of our college is 100% and they provide the best infrastructure for the best placements. The highest package of our college placement is 28,00,000 Lacs per annum and the minimum is 1.5 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The Information Technology department provides us the best infrastructure and friendly staffs and moreover they will be very helpful and they give the best guidance. And the hostel provides us the good food and peaceful environment and we would feel like home.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful in every aspects. They provides us support mentally and motivate us. And they are more knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is more relevant and it will be useful for the career and it makes the students ready to work in the industry.
Other: The future depends on the technologies and that's why I chose this course.

Satisfying college with above 90% placement with supportive staffs and good infrastructure.
Placements: 1) Above 80% placement is achieved. 2)The highest salary of this batch was about 20l per annum and the lowest was 2l per annum. The average salary package is about 3.5l per annum. 3)The top recruiters are infosys, CTS, Wipro. 4)We have a dedicated IOS lab only in Coimbatore. 5)the highest is 20l the lowest is 2l and average is 3.5l. 6)Around 20% got internships in Paypal, infosys, zoho.
Infrastructure: 1) We have two dedicated IT labs and with a good LAN support. The classrooms are normal as in other colleges. 2)The hostels for 2nd and 3rd years are very good with food taste and for other years its average. The college is very supportive for sport interest persons and in providing on-duty for competition participation. The canteen is also good with variety of choices.
Faculty: 1)The faculty members are on the strictly side while also having around 90% of doctorate graduates in IT department. Teaching is of 3 out of 5. 2)The faculty members also support us and encourage us in a way that to study out of the box and participate in hackathons to deal with real world IT industries.
Other: 1)I chose this course out of interest since my schooling. Faculty members support us in enlarging our interest and bringing our dreams true. 2)The course would be better if provided with friendly staffs. 3)Our department organises symposium and department events organised with our own students. Supporting extra curricular activities.
