The five-year integrated MSc + PhD programme is available in two specialisations, namely Biological Sciences and Chemistry.

At the doctoral level, Sunandan Divatia School of Science offers PhD programme across two specialisations. The minimum duration of this programme is three years and it can stretch up to a maximum of six years depending on the course work. Candidates have to choose a specialisation based on their specialisation at the postgraduate  level.

Selection to PhD is subject to qualifying a Written Test conducted by NMIMS. Candidates qualified in UGC-NET (including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/ SLET/ GATE/ teacher fellowship holder or have passed MPhil are exempted from NMIMS entrance test. More details about Sunandan Divatia School of Science PhD admission are as follows:

• The entrance test step is followed by a Personal Interview round which is mandatory for all. Candidates need to give a presentation based on their SOPs and must discuss the topic of their research during the interview.
• Candidates willing to apply for Chemistry (for professionals) for PhD in Chemistry are required to submit an NOC from their employers

NMIMS Sunandan Divatia School of Science admits students in the BSc course via the online entrance exam. The exam is conducted in an online mode. English Language,  General Awareness,  Reasoning Skills,  Social Awareness, and Basics of Psychology are the topics that will be covered in the entrance test. The exam will contain 50 question with 50 marks. The exam will last for one hour (60 minutes) and question will be in multiple choice format. 

Hello Nishar Ahmed, a very interesting query but I am afraid there are no clear cut answers or no clear cut conclusions. Firstly placements data of BSc courses of any college is very shaky and secondly analysis or conclusions based on very few placements will not actually reveal anything. SDSOS gives out data of placements and packages only for PG students. Some sources though give out figures of 5LPA or 7LPA as the highest package. But authentication is not feasible. Suffice to say that it needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. But all said and done, credentials of the NMIMS, the deemed to be university to which SDSOS is affiliated, are indeed impeccable and one needs not have any doubts whatsoever about the quality of staff and facilities provided to the students. 

My advice is to get admission without bothering about placements or packages at placements.

Sunandan Divatia School of Science (SDSOS) is one of the private institutes affiliated with NMIMS University  . NMIMS is ranked 47 out of 200 Deemed to be universities by the NIRF, placing it fourth in Mumbai. Sunandan Divatia School of Science course admission is open for the academic year 2024. Admission to the BSc specialisation is based on the merit list, which is prepared based on the performance of the in-house entrance test and marks obtained in the class 12 exam. 

Candidates who have passed or will be passing Class 12 are eligible to appear for the NPAT exam. NPAT exam is conducted for admission to BA, BBA, BCom, and BSc courses offered by different campuses of NMIMS. Candidates are selected for admission based on NPAT exam scores. 

Sunandan Divatia School of Science accepts various entrance exam scores for admission to its undergraduate, postgraduate, integrated, and doctoral-level courses. For undergraduate courses, admission is merit-based, while for postgraduate, integrated, and doctoral-level courses, admission is entrance-based. The entrance exams accepted by Sunandan Divatia School of Science include CBSE 12th, ISC, NMIMS - NPAT, Karnataka 2nd PUC, GATE, UGC-NET (including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/ SLET/ teacher fellowship holder, and written test conducted by NMIMS
