Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research - SICSR has the best infrastructure.It has a bit smaller campus. Newly build buildings, classes, laboratories, sports complex, synthetic athletic ground, tennis court. The University has excellent hostel facility, rooms, campus Wi-Fi facility and hostel Wi-Fi facility. It is a lot better than other private institutes. Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research - SICSR will be like heaven for the students.

I liked the college and its performance.
Placements: The BCA course secured 76% placements, with the maximum and minimum salary packages of 14.5 LPA and 3.1 LPA. Internships were offered based on academic grades and technical skills. So far, 36 LPA is the top package secured by an MCA student in the college.
Faculty: Teachers were the main moral support for students, providing an extreme level of guidance to all. They focused on preparing students with plenty of industrial knowledge. The semester examination results usually varied depending on the preparation process and the difficulty of the question papers.
Other: To get admitted into any course, it was important to apply for the application process in advance. Then, they released a merit list for admission. Students from various regions enrolled in their desired courses. The campus and its surroundings were slightly crowded because they provided a maximum number of seats.

SICSR review and summary.
Placements: The placement provides good companies that offer a great package and interesting job roles. With multiple rounds of aptitude and interviews, they prepare us beforehand. The internship program offered is also good for boosting your CV. They also make sure you are not under any pressure.
Infrastructure: Well, the infrastructure is so-so. I haven't really stayed in the hostel, but the area where the campus is located is a good area; everything is close by, it's the best in the city, and there's a little greenery. However, they could improve on the infrastructure, but they do have basic facilities, with AC labs too.
Faculty: My experience with the faculty has been very nice; they are very sweet, understanding people. The curriculum could avoid some subjects like yoga and service learning because due to these subjects, our CGPA goes down a little. Other subjects taught are good and easy to understand and learn.

College received a good recognition.
Placements: Master of business administration in information technology grabbed 65% of offers with the highest salary package of 18.45 LPA for a year. TCS, Verizon, and IBM had a good tie-up with the college and were offering maximized offers to the students from all areas.
Infrastructure: Well-facilitated computer laboratories were available in all the blocks considering the necessity of their usage. All the data and reports were digitised and updated for every single day. Students were allowed to use all the areas within the campus for studying, searching, and exploring their skills.
Faculty: Teachers with sufficient knowledge and skills were able to manage the students even with their hyperactivity. The personalities of the teachers were so admirable and adorable. They provided good support for the students to work towards their passion.

Well-qualified faculty, an updated curriculum.
Placements: I am a second-year BCA student. In the previous batch, about 60-70 percent of BCA students are successfully placed. The highest package offered is around 7 LPA, the lowest was approximately 2.5 LPA and the average salary ranged between 3.5 to 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant and Accenture. Internships were provided to nearly 50 percent of the students, mainly from companies like Wipro, HCL and some local startups. The roles offered are mostly in software development, testing and IT support.
Infrastructure: BCA department has good computer labs with stable internet, a clean and big library and comfortable classrooms fitted with projectors. Yet, the hostel experience is average. Most rooms accommodate three students and the lack of washing machines makes laundry inconvenient. The mess food is decent but tends to be repetitive. Medical facilities are available 24/7. There are good options for sports and indoor games on campus.
Faculty: Faculty is helpful, well-qualified and experienced in their respective subjects. Many professors are approachable and genuinely supportive guiding students effectively. The curriculum is current and covers industry-relevant topics such as Data Structures, DBMS and Web Development. Semester exams are moderately challenging but manageable with consistent study. The pass percentage for our course is above 85 percent.
Other: While the course and facilities are decent, the hostel fees are quite high considering the basic amenities offered. With no laundry services and minimal facilities, it doesn’t fully justify the cost. The campus community is diverse, friendly and supportive. There are numerous clubs and societies to join, spanning from technology to arts and culture. Events like TechFest and Cultural Week are well-organized and enjoyable. The campus environment is peaceful with good Wi-Fi coverage and reliable security.

Placements: Around 85-90% of students from our BCA and BBA-IT courses get placed each year at SICSR Pune. Highest package offered was around 14 LPA, lowest was 3.5 LPA, and average is around 5.5-6 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Deloitte, KPMG, TCS, Accenture, PwC, and Cognizant, along with startups for developed and analyst roles. Many students also get internships during the last semester in companies like TCS, Capgemini, and local startups, with roles in software development, business analytics, and digital marketing. Overall, the placement cell is supportive, and multiple placement training sessions help students prepare well for the interview.
Infrastructure: SICSR Pune offers good infrastructure with high-speed Wi-Fi across the campus, updated labs with Mac and Windows systems, and air-conditioned classrooms with projectors. Library is well-equipped with technical and management books, and there is a quiet reading room available. Hostel has decent rooms with Wi-Fi and regular cleaning, and mess food is average but hygienic with a mix of North and South Indian options. Canteen offers snacks and meals at reasonable prices. Faculty: Faculty at SICSR Pune is knowledgeable and supportive, with many having industry experience. Curriculum is updated and includes practical exposure through projects, internships, and coding labs. Exams are a mix of internals, assignments, and written papers, focusing on conceptual understanding and practical implementation. Regular presentations and case studies help us improve our soft skills along with academics, and faculty are approachable for doubts and guidance during project work and placements.

Digital transformation course in the MBA studies.
Placements: Companies like TCS, HCL, Godrej, and Accenture provide good salary packages to the students of MBA in digital transformation. The highest package would range from 7.2 LPA to 15.1 LPA. The placement provides excellent support and guidance to us starting from preparing for placement tests.
Infrastructure: It's necessary to clear the SNAP entrance exam conducted by the college to get admitted into various courses at our college. Usually, students are divided into groups to attend any of the inter-college events happening around the college. Only single group of students from all the discipline allowed for any of the events at a time, for providing chances to all the student equally.
Faculty: Skillful and knowledgeable lectures have an enormous and enriched knowledge about marketing and digital business. Lectures are interconnected with resourceful industrial persons and alumni of our college. Teachers show much more importance to students' grade systems.

Student who wants to pursue undergraduate level BBA degree from Symbiosis Pune must appear in SET ( State Eligibility Test) and definitely get a good score in order to get admission in Symbiosis Pune.

The SET score for BBA in Symbiosis Pune is in b/w 85 to 90 percent cut off. The candidates should score 70 or 80 marks out of 150 in order to get into the safer side.

This starts with registration, followed by selection rounds, and admission confirmation. Follow the steps listed below to complete the admission process for SICSR Pune:

Step 1: Register for SET for SICSR UG admission and register for SNAP for PG course admissions.

Step 2: Register on the admission portal of SICSR and pay the programme fees for the online Personal Interview.

According to the previous year records, you have very low chances to get into SICSR Pune. During 2nd or 3 rd merit list, your waitlist number might decrease upto 15-20 but chances of getting cleared are very low

Q:   Does SICSR Pune offer hostel facilities?
A: 

 Yes SICSR offers hostel facility. Approximate distance between the college and hostel is 1.5kms. Infrastructure of the hostel is good and its a beautiful campus. The room provided is on a sharing basis, 3 in one room or 2 as per your choice (fees may vary).Hostels are very acceptable. All of them had a triple sharing room and few double sharing rooms. Only drawback were the mess foods which came about very bad. They have 2 separate hostels given vishwabhavan and ambedkar namely on senapati bapat road.

for boys: Hostel Deposit (Refundable) – Rs 15000

Hostel Fees (For 5 Months) – Rs 46100

Mess Fees (For 5 Months) – Rs 39000

Yes, SICSR’s Sports Department had organised a badminton tournament for P.G. Students on the 15 July 2023. Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR) along with the Department of Sports Recreation and Wellness (DSRW) celebrated the International Yoga Day at the S.B. Road, Model Colony campus.SICSR had conducted a Cricket Tournament on 20 April 2023 at the Multi-Purpose Ground at Lavale.
