What After SET Result 2026?
Deciding what to do after the SET exam result can be a little daunting. Also, it is completely an individual’s choice. After the SET result is announced each participating institute releases a SET 2026 cutoff list. Candidates who match the cutoff will have to appear for the further admission process which includes Group Discussions, Written Ability Test and Personal Interviews.
During the WAT/GD/PI rounds, aspirants are evaluated on various grounds. They will be evaluated on communication skills, leadership skills, grammatical skills, vocabulary, general awareness, managerial skills, personality, confidence, academics, the candidate-specific field of interest, extracurricular activities, etc.
Written Ability Test (WAT) is conducted as a part of the selection procedure. In 2021, the WAT round was conducted alongside the SET exam. Clearing the WAT round is mandatory to be able to appear in the Personal Interview round. Candidates must ensure that their general knowledge is good as awakened general awareness is expected for SET candidates and is the core of all three rounds. Candidates must know well about the current happenings (national and international arena), business and economy, social issues, etc.
Personal Interview rounds will also be conducted as the final selection process. The PI round will be conducted individually for each programme by each Symbiosis institute. The SET exam is a qualifying phase. It is mandatory to clear SET exam to be able to appear for the PI round.

The eligibility criteria for SIU Pune MBA admissions does not specify the requirement of prior work experience to gain admissions. However, every affiliated institute of SIU Pune has a different eligibility criteria for their offered MBA courses. SET cut-offs will be announced after the declaration of the result. The SET scores are accepted by the ten prestigious colleges of the Symbiosis International (Deemed University) and each individual institute releases their own cutoff after the results are announced. IPMAT is usually considered a bit more difficult than SET, as IPMAT exam has advanced mathematics and is calculation intensive. The exam also have a sectional time limit. But, SET is easier in terms of difficulty, does not have negative marking or sectional timings.
