Review of Velalar College of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: In this college, around 30% of students get placed in our course. The highest package offered was 8 LPA. The lowest package offered was 3 LPA. The average package offered was 4 LPA. Top recruiters in our course were TCS, HCL, Hitachi, Wipro, etc. Top roles offered were Technical Support, Associate, etc.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college was good enough for our branch. Our college had labs with all the required equipment and security checks. The college also had Wi-Fi, library, canteen, sports, etc., facilities for the students. The campus of the college was fully secured, and medical facilities were available for emergency situations.

Faculty: Faculty in this college for our course were really helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was satisfactory at this college. Course curriculum followed in our course was relevant and also made the students industry-ready. Exams of our college were not very easy to pass.

Many students are satisfied with the placement opportunity and many companies come in chain basis.

Placements: On completing the 6th semester, we will be eligible to attend placements, and those who are having backlogs won't be eligible. The criteria of each company are also in consideration as per the percentage. Nearly 10 to 12 companies visit our campus but due to this pandemic, unfortunately only 7 to 9 companies visited. The highest salary package is 5 LPA - 6 LPA. Nearly, 70% of total strength can get placed in different companies as per their ability.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi connections are better on-campus and laboratory facilities are very good compared to other colleges. Classrooms are smart and smartboard facilities are available. The library has lots of books to improve our knowledge. The hostel also has good Wi-Fi connection.

Faculty: In this college, Rotaract club, NCC, NSS, and many extracurricular activities are provided. The teaching quality was better than in other colleges in Erode. Culturals and symposium are conducted every year. The project expo was conducted for encouraging the skills of students.

Placements: About 60% of the students were placed from our college. The starting salary offered is around Rs. 15,000-20,000 per month. The highest salary offered is around Rs. 60,000-75,000 per month. Roles offered in our course are quality testing, production control, etc. Human resources is the top role offered for electrical engineering students.

Infrastructure: In Velalar College of Engineering and Technology, facilities such as free Wi-Fi, good labs, smart classrooms and a well-structured library are available. The medical facility is available 24x7. Sports and games are given equal importance like studies.

Placements: Around 90% of students got placed in this course. Top recruiting companies were Wipro, Mahindra, and Tata. Almost 99% of students got internships at Wipro. The placement cell interacted with many organisations across the country for arranging campus drives.

Infrastructure: Our college had good environment. The infrastructure was excellent. Digital classrooms were available. Our campus was Wi-Fi enabled. Laboratories were decent. Classrooms were well-maintained. Our college office was well-furnished. Separate booths were available for workers with personal computer and printer facilities. Our department was very good.

Faculty: Teachers were very good. There were 212 committed team of faculty members in our department. All teachers were knowledgeable and helpful.
