B.E. in Information Technology - Batch of 2026
4.2
Good faculty support, decent placements, and improving infrastructure at VCET.
Placements: I am currently in the 2022-2026 batch, pursuing a BE in information technology. In our department, 75%-85% were placed last year. The highest package offered was around 12 LPA. The lowest being around 3 LPA. The average package was about 4 LPA-4.5 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Capgemini, LTI, Infosys, etc. Students were getting internships through the referral of the faculty members to other companies. Top roles included software developer, web developer, tester, etc.
Infrastructure: The IT department has well-maintained labs with high-speed internet. We have projectors in classrooms, and the library is digital-friendly with access to journals and e-books, and is a quiet place for study. The library has enough space. We have 2 floors for the library. There is no hostel. And medical facilities include a basic first-aid kit. The college also has sports facilities for cricket, football, volleyball, chess, carrom, badminton, and throwball.
Faculty: The faculty is qualified, supportive, and approachable. They are open to guiding students with projects and placements. The teaching is application-focused, and doubt-solving is encouraged. The curriculum follows Mumbai University guidelines but includes value-based workshops, coding competitions, and project-based learning. It helps students stay in touch with industry standards. Semester exams are moderately difficult, with a pass percentage of around 95% if students attend lectures regularly.
Other: I chose information technology because of my interest in software development and real-world problem-solving. The best part of the course is the hands-on projects exposure, open-source contribution, and hackathons. I highly recommend this college if you are looking for a balanced engineering experience, good academics, approachable faculty, placement support, and active student life.

Great college with everything well-balanced.
Placements: Nearly 50–60% of students were placed. The highest package is 30 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA. Companies like TCS, Contentstack, Infosys, etc., visited for placements. Multiple students did internships in companies like Larsen and Toubro, etc. The college supports internships, but they themselves don't provide paid internships. However, for those who didn’t get any, the college offers unpaid internships for experience. Roles offered include web developer, senior engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Campus is good, but right now construction is going on, so can't say much. Zeal is the college fest that takes place in the month of January. Also, Palghar district hosts the biggest intercollegiate sports fest named Avahan. There is a separate building for the library, with books worth more than a crore. There are many extracurricular activities, i.e., committees organizing hackathons, building their own car and bike for national competitions. VCET Solecthon is one such committee, which is a four-time national champion in solar electric vehicles.
Faculty: Faculty members are very well qualified, but some have excellent teaching skills while some don't , and I feel that's the same in most colleges. The exams and their schedules are on point, as they don’t miss anything. This college is very well managed from an academic perspective.
Other: College has a decent campus, and if you are opting for Computer Science or IT, then this would be the best as it has very well-equipped labs, etc. As I have visited most of the colleges in Mumbai, I feel this college is underrated, maybe due to its location. The bad aspect is that there is no proper network inside the college building.

I am satisfied with the college and college staff members but the crowd of students is average.
Placements: I do not know the percentage of students who get placed. The highest package in our course is 30.8 LPA and the lowest package is 5.5 LPA. Capgemini, Contenstack, etc., are the recruiting companies for our course. Roles like data analyst, app building, etc., are offered. The internships offered to students are more often out of campus, and teachers also help to get it.
Infrastructure: Labs, classrooms and the library are good enough as compared to other colleges. Other facilities are also above average There is no hostel in our college. The canteen has only non-veg food which is somewhat difficult for vegetarian students. There are sports events also.
Faculty: Faculty members are really supportive. They are qualified, supportive, and helpful. Their teaching quality is also good. The course curriculum is somewhat average I would rather say because of unnecessary subjects. Some subjects are a way helpful for us. Semester exams are of medium difficulty level.

It is the best college for average students.
Placements: Students with CGPA between 6-8 get better placement opportunities. The package offered is more than 5 LPA. The highest package offered is around 50 LPA, and the average package is 5 LPA. The internship programs are held in our college, which is very helpful.
Infrastructure: There are many facilities in our college. It has properly maintained washrooms. The campus is well-maintained. Lift facilities are available. A seminar hall is also available to conduct seminars.
Faculty: The teachers in Vidyavardhini College of Institute and Technology are very helpful. They solve not only our studies-related problems but also our personal problems. The semester exams are easy as all the teachers complete the syllabus on time.

Best college at average percentage.
Placements: MHT CET percentile is 86 and JEE is 84. Almost 90% students got internship programme and they are happy with that. It is very useful for me and I suggest this too. Google and LNT and many more companies are there for placement. Average package was 3.5 lakh .
Infrastructure: There are many facility in the college like seminar room and many more. The toilets are clean and tidy. Compound is also clean and there are many class for different year students. There are many more facilities like gym khana and grounds with playing equipment.
Faculty: The teachers are very much helpful not only for study related topic but also the personal problem. All staff members are also helpful. Semester exams are not so tough as they covers our syllabus before time and there's time to revise. Good college.

Satisfied with almost everything.
Placements: The placements are good. From the IT department, 54 students got placed out of 80 this year. The placement cell arranges everything in an efficient manner. Companies like Wipro, L&T, Infosys and many other come to provide placement opportunities on our campus. The placement percentage is more in IT and computer science as compared to other branches.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are good enough. The labs are awesome. The library is well maintained, and the canteen is overall good. It has a very friendly environment. Sports are given priority too. There are separate committees for different purposes. Moreover, non-teaching staff are very friendly.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and helpful except for some, which I guess are there in all colleges. Almost everyone passed with good marks when the college was offline except for a few. In online mode, all the students passed the exams. The exam section is overall good and constructive.
Other: The campus is very good and peaceful. Moreover, seniors are supportive and share their experiences with us. Committees formed are the best and helps in enhancing skills and gaining new experience. The faculty members share various opportunities on a daily basis. Overall, it is splendid.

A good choice for students in Vasai, Dahanu and nearby areas.
Placements: The placements are pretty good. In the year I joined the college, the highest package was around 24 LPA, and the average package was 3.5 LPA. The main companies visiting the college for placements are Wipro, Infosys, TCS etc. The college also arranges special courses to make sure that everyone gets an internship.
Infrastructure: No hostel or PG is available nearby. You can rent a room with your classmates. The canteen food is okay, but it is the same menu every day. The canteen is quite small, so it can be a bit crowded sometimes. The college promotes games like cricket, badminton and volleyball. The annual sports event called Avahan is very exciting.
Faculty: The faculty members are very supportive and innovative. They are well qualified and have decent experience. The curriculum is almost the same for all colleges under Mumbai University. The teachers take good care to make the concepts clear for students, and they can have a bright future.
Other: The peers are very friendly and provide you with an opportunity to excel.

The college has good placements in 2017 and the average infrastructure.
Placements: In 2017, approximately 50-60% of the students got placements, and the majorly of IT and computer students were placed. The top recruiter for the day one company is Infosys. Internships were not provided to any students by any company. All were for permanent placements.
Infrastructure: The college does not provide Wi-Fi to the students. Labs and classrooms are quite average, but they are not top class. However, they are appropriate for studying. Systems in labs are broken, have some or other issues. At times, systems are less, and not every student gets one. There is no hostel on the campus.
Faculty: Out of 10, only 2 teachers will be well-qualified to transfer knowledge properly and answer the questions. Other just come to the class, read the already made PPT and go back to their desk. It's all about self-study. For the course curriculum, the college follows the syllabus provided by Mumbai University.
Other: Events and fests are quite good, according to the crowd the college has. It has one annual event, and many fests are conducted by the various department in a year. There are multiple seminars for students. These committees are handled by the students.
