College offers decent academics with good placements. The infrastructure needs to be modified.
Placements: On our campus around 70 percent of students of mechanical engineering students got placed. The highest package is 8 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, while the average package remains 4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata Advanced Systems, Infosys, Amazon, etc. Around 50 percent of students got internships in the steel plant and Hindustan Shipyard. Roles offered as Design Engineer, Quality Control, and Graduate Trainee Engineer.
Infrastructure: Drinking water is provided on campus and Wi-Fi is only available in computer labs. Labs are provided with machinery for the respective branches. Classrooms are limited so one of the sections of the class should rotate while the other section goes to the lab. The library is provided with all kinds of books belonging to all branches. The hostel is decent with 3 meals a day and snacks in the evening and the quality of food in the mess is good. There are no major medical facilities on campus and good facilities for conducting sports and games on campus.
Faculty: The teachers on campus are well-qualified and helpful. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant with the industry and it makes students ready for the industrial exposure. Our semester exams are moderate because our college is autonomous. The pass percentage is about 70 percent.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to become a Mechanical Engineer. The best thing is that the college is in an industrial hub like Visakhapatnam. Machinery in labs should be improved and the tuition fees should be decreased.

Vignan Institute of Information Technology.
Placements: 50% of students were placed in our course. Tata is one of the top recruiting companies for our course. 60% of students got internships from our course and in Tata and ECT companies. There are several top roles in our course. The highest is 50 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are available for our college courses, and for the mechanical department, like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library, playground, computer labs, etc. The quality of the facilities in our hostel is good, and food is also good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also good. This course curriculum is relevant. It also makes the students industry ready. Easy for the semester exam in college, and the pass percentage is 70% in our course.
Other: I am passionate about doing mechanical engineering at our college. And there are many good things about our course. There is no need for improvement. Our course has the best facilities.

VIIT provides good infrastructure, supportive faculty, and decent placements for students.
Placements: Around 70-80% of students from our mechanical engineering batch got placed through campus placements. The highest package offered ranges from 6-7 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 2.5 LPA. The average package is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, and L&T. Nearly 50% of students also secured internships in reputed industries, gaining practical exposure to manufacturing and design roles. The primary roles offered are graduate engineer trainee (GET), production engineer, quality analyst, and maintenance engineer.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure with well-equipped labs for mechanical engineering, modern classrooms with projectors, a rich library, and campus-wide Wi-Fi. Hostel facilities are satisfactory with clean rooms, purified drinking water, and proper ventilation. The mess food is decent with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. A canteen is available for snacks. Sports facilities such as a playground, gym, and indoor games are provided. There is basic medical support for emergencies. Overall, the environment is comfortable for both study and living.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified, approachable, and supportive. They explain concepts clearly with practical examples. The course curriculum is updated and aligned with industry requirements, making us job-ready. Exams are moderately challenging but fair, with a good pass percentage for sincere students.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in mechanical engineering and its wide career opportunities. The best aspects are the supportive environment, helpful teachers, and hands-on lab sessions. More industry visits and workshops would make it even better for students. The campus organises fun fests, cultural events, and extracurricular activities that keep student life lively and engaging.

I am absolutely satisfied with my college.
Placements: The placement percentage of students in 2025 is around 80%. The highest package is 7 LPA, and the average package is around 3 LPA in my course. The top recruiting companies in my course are Tata Advanced Systems, IMEG, and SSWL. 75% of students got internships in Infosys, MSME, AU, etc. A graduate engineer trainee is the top role offered in my college.
Infrastructure: Campus-wide Wi-Fi is available, including in labs and library areas. The speed is generally good for academic and entertainment purposes. It has large and digital classrooms equipped with projectors and modern teaching aids. Laboratories meet AICTE and JNTU norms and are regularly upgraded with up-to-date equipment. It has resource-rich facilities with over 54,800 books, etc.
Faculty: Many reviewers highlight that teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable, professional, and approachable. They combined theoretical knowledge with practical insights and are available for guidance. Faculty members are generally supportive, encouraging peer learning and open communication. The course curriculum is periodically revised and aligned with JNTU standards to incorporate new topics and shifting industry norms. The passing requires scoring around 50 out of 70, with internal marks factored in. Internal evaluation and good attendance are strongly enforced.
Other: I chose mechanical as it is the main course for the present society, and all the industries run with machines. Placements and packages should be increased. Events and fests organised are more. The campus crowd is very large. It gives a very good atmosphere.

Review of Vignan Institute of Information Technology.
Placements: In my course, mechanical engineering, a maximum of 40% of the students are placed in the college. The highest package is about 30 lakhs, the minimum package is about 5 lakhs, and the average is 6 lakhs. Top companies include Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, Amazon, etc.
Infrastructure: We have the best infrastructure here. We have 24-hour available Wi-Fi, labs for every course, and a well-stocked library with central AC. We have canteens for day scholars and nice classrooms for students. We also have medical facilities available for both hostelers and day scholars.
Faculty: Teachers in my college are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and experienced. They are friendly to students while teaching. This mechanical engineering course is relevant to industrial management. The semester exams are not very difficult, and the pass percentage is about 95.

Placements: From the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Companies that visit our college like Accenture, IBM, Amazon, Infosys, and Tech Mahindra. The highest package is 24 LPA, and the average package is 3.5 LPA. Companies like HPCL, BHEL, and Steel Plant provide internships, some of which are paid and some unpaid, with a possible stipend of Rs. 6,000–7,000. We are working on a project called Bomb Detection Shoes for short-range detection. Exploring career opportunities through internships offers students and freshers an alternative to analyze the career path they have selected for themselves.
Infrastructure: Facilities and technology provisions within classrooms are good, and smart classes are conducted. Seminars and medical facilities are available in the pharmacy block. Most inter-college competitions are also held for sports, and the food is quite good especially the canteen biryani.
Faculty: It is quite good in the academic aspect, as teachers explain concepts with some of the real-life examples. The frequency and timing of exams are nice, and they provide topics that are useful for semester exams.
Other: At Vignan, one of the best and biggest fests is conducted every year in December or January, called Yuvatarang, which is one of the biggest platforms to enjoy and showcase extracurricular activities. On that day, we can participate as much as we want. Another fest, called Vista, is a technical fest where students can develop and showcase their modular knowledge. It is a good experience with campus life, and the focus is on the Green Club and more.

The story of my college life.
Placements: From the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Companies that visit our college like Accenture, IBM, Amazon, Infosys, and Teach Mahindra. The highest package is 24 Lacs per annum, and the average package is 3.5 Lacs per annum. The last few days back, the sleet trips also hired more numbers of students.
Infrastructure: In terms of facilities and infrastructure, the college has having huge number of resources like a smart board, different labs with highly quality equipment, and medical facilities. Circular and co-circular activities are more and finally, with a huge library. The library has all types of books.
Faculty: The specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced me to choose this college because it was good in study aspects, and most of the members have referred me to this college to study. In exams, they used to give some topics that were very helpful for full study and gain score with good marks.
Other: There is only the biggest fest that is Yuvatrang, Teach fest, in which lots of programmes are conducted, and also farewell, freshers are the most important part of college. The clubs I know, as per aspects, are a green club, the yoga club, and some others.

Placements: The placement percentage is approximately above 70%, but for the mechanical branch in particular they are very low. The highest package offered in the college is 27 LPA, and the average package is 4 LPA. The college management offers few placements percentage for the mechanical and civil departments.
Infrastructure: The college is well-equipped with good infrastructure. The mechanical laboratory is good to some extent. Machinery is well-equipped in labs but some of them are presently not in working condition. The institute also provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching is also good and well-supported to students. Students really gain bookish knowledge but not practical knowledge in this college. Gaining marks and grades are only important to everyone in college.
Other: The institute conducts fests and events regularly. There are some fests which would be held for individual branches and one can enjoy a lot in these events.
