Great campus life, good placements, and supportive faculty.

Placements: I am part of the B.Teach (CSE) batch of 2028. Around 80 percent of students from our course got placed. The highest package offered is around 12 LPA, the average is 5 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, and Deloitte. About 60 percent of students also secured internships in reputed firms like Amazon, TCS, and local startups. The top roles offered are Software Developer, Analyst, and Associate Engineer.

Infrastructure: The college provides excellent Wi-Fi connectivity, well-equipped computer labs, smart classrooms, and a large central library with access to digital journals. The hostel rooms are spacious and well-maintained with 24/7 water and electricity. The mess food is decent and hygienic. There are separate facilities for sports, gym, and medical care. The canteen food is affordable and offers multiple cuisines.

Faculty: Most of the faculty members are highly qualified and approachable. They help students with projects, research, and placements. The curriculum is regularly updated to match industry trends with added focus on AI, Data Science, and Cloud Computing. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty and the pass percentage remains high due to consistent internal evaluation and support from teachers.

Other: Considering the quality of teaching, infrastructure, and placement opportunities, the college offers good value for money. The total fees for the course are around Rs. 6,00,000, including tuition, hostel, and other facilities. I chose this course because of my interest in technology and the college's strong placement record. The best part is the supportive faculty and hands-on learning environment. It would be even better if the placement cell collaborated with more product-based companies.

College is good. Placements are okay, but I recommend this college.

Placements: The percentage of students placed is 60% The highest package is approximately 20 LPA. The lowest package is 11 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Tata, Blinkit, Honda, Mahindra, and so on. The percentage of students who secured internships is 40% to 55%. The roles offered are HR, marketing, web developer, bug reporter, etc.

Infrastructure: The college building and the infrastructure are very good. The environment is best for studying in a college that provides a canteen, library, computer lab, Wi-Fi campus with 5G speed. The quality of hostel food is okay to eat, and the water supply is also very good.

Faculty: Teachers are outstanding, they teach us in a very innovative way. The curriculum is very innovative and related to jobs, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not easy to understand.

Other: I chose this college because it is very good and the city is very near to me.

Review of Walchand College of Engineering by Akshy Patil.

Placements: A good percentage of students got placements from my college. The highest package offered to a student in my course was 17 LPA, and the average package was 3 LPA. Many top recruiting companies hired students in my course. The percentage of students who got internships in this course was 80%.

Infrastructure: Facilities available in my course were super. Wi-Fi, classrooms, and the library were available for all students. The quality provided in my course was very good. The food was tasty. Medical facilities were available. Sports and games were available.

Faculty: Teachers in my college were very helpful, and all were well qualified. They had great teaching qualities. This course was curriculum-relevant, and students were industry-ready. However, the semester exams were very difficult, and more than 50% of students failed and had to take a re-exam later in the year.

Other: I chose this course to gain knowledge. There was no specific stream in my course. Events and the campus crowd were super. Scholarships were available.

Absolutely better college than others in Maharashtra, except COEP. This college is the best.

Placements: 87% of students are placed every year on average. This year, 58% of students got placements, and campus interviews are still going on. Microsoft is a company that often gives good as well as the highest package of the year. Data analyst is the top course offered by companies.

Infrastructure: They gave the facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, digital classrooms, and a big library. The hostel is pretty good, and the mess facility is below average. The mess is not good inside the campus; you have to join the mess outside the college campus. Overall, campus life is average.

Faculty: There is highly qualified and experienced faculty available in Walchand College of Engineering. New faculty members have also joined because, from this year onwards, there are two sub-branches of CSE: CSE (aided) and CSE (unaided). The curriculum is the best among all colleges in Maharashtra. Exams are slightly difficult, and for passing, you have to score a minimum of 40 marks out of 100 in each subject.

Other: My branch is Computer Science and Technology, and in this field, there is various kinds of enthusiasm. For the CSE branch in this college, there are a number of clubs available, so if you are interested in teaching, then come to Walchand College of Engineering.

Our college is very good in terms of placements, faculty, and senior interaction.

Placements: More than 80% of students got placed in companies like TCS, Veritas, Infosys, Amazon, etc. Most students got a salary package offered is around 10 LPA - 20 LPA. Some students get a salary package of 35 LPA. The lowest salary package offered by Walchand College of Engineering i3.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: Walchand College of Engineering has quite an old infrastructure. The campus has greenery. The campus is spread over 90 acres of land. Our college hostel is good but has very limited intake. Private hostels are available near our college at a reasonable rate. Our college is not very expensive so the monthly cost of stay and mess is around Rs. 60,000.

Faculty: Walchand College of Engineering has most of the senior faculty members. In 2024, some new faculty members were introduced. Our college is very strict about exams. Faculty members are very supportive in terms of teaching. Doubt-clearing sessions are included in our academic. Seniors are supportive. They help and guide students in their projects.

Other: Our college is the best in terms of placements but the infrastructure is quite old.
