I passed out from this college in the year 2013 with a PGDM degree.

Placements: The highest salary package offered is 18 LPA by Amazon, which was the highest amongst all specialisations. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. In our current batch, summer internships were badly affected due to COVID-19 pandemic as it was the peak time of March-April when the media companies usually start hiring. Our college is value for money. Our college provides good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: I was passed out from this college in the year 2018 with PGDM degree in media and advertising. There were all batches full during the admission process. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA. The average salary package offered ranges between 4.5-5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Almost 90% of the students from different courses got placed at the college.

The highest package of 18 Lacs was offered by Amazon, which was the highest amongst all specialisation. Average was 6 Lacs and the lowest was 3.5 Lacs. Placements: Consultant, business analyst and many more roles are offered here, but mostly, they are offered to engineering background students. Many students strived for summer internships, and they didn't get it until the end of the course. Mostly marketing companies visit our campus and recruit marketing course students.

Great institution with a few solvable issues. Needs less of bureaucracy & hierarchy in the system.

Placements: WeSchool justifies its position of being just next to IIMs and IITs in terms of its ranking. It stands at par with other leading B-Schools in the country. About 70-80% of students definitely get placed and most of the remaining actually start their own enterprises, join their family business or arrange jobs for themselves. More or less students bag an average package of 8-9LPA. A 4-star review because the college could bring in many more better companies with the contacts it has, but sadly it do...

Online vs classroom learning: What do students prefer?

Adaptation has found a new dimension and how. When one looks back to March 2020, the fervor that went rampant was, “The nation is going under a complete lockdown.” Well, it was not a great indicator of the days coming ahead but who knew it would lend a different tangent to the field of education. Needless to say, it completely changed one’s outlook to education and forced the sector to bring in technological change to their curriculums as well as institutes to fit the changing needs of students

The CAT cutoff for SIMSREE as per 2017 was 99.95 percentile which falls under All India category. Cutoff for JBIMS would be higher than this and for K. J Somaiya, Welingkar it would be only a bit lower (for MS). You can still try for K. J Somaiya and Welingkar for PGDM.

Academic Performance - 15%
Work Experience, Sports and Extracurricular Activities - 5%
If you do well in others too, with such decent score in CMAT you might be eligible for good scholarship as well. Now, regarding the second part of the question. The ministry of Human resource has place both Principal L N Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research and Jaipuria Institute of Management in the top 75 b-schools of India. So, both are good. However the choice is yours. You can do analysis, gather placement data, most importantly it depends on where you live. I hope you know that Mumbai is the most expensive city to live in India. My preference would be Jaipuria Institute of Management - Lucknow.

Dear soma, Distance MBA is valid where it is used just for eligibility. Don't actually expect any significant skill gain from the programme. Thanks.

Most of GMAT test takers get score of 400 to 600. Almost Every 2 out of 3. Yes with this score you can try to get admission in these b schools. But it also depend on GD/PI. Many good private universities also accept GMAT score of this range. You can also try for XUB, Great Lakes, ISB, BIMTECH.

Owing to the global approach that they adopt to instill the practicalities of their respective careers into the students has made LPU the most preferred educational destination among the students these days. The placements are comparatively high in LPU than Sharda University. About 90% of the students get placed every year in our department. Many well-known companies visit here for placement. If you have a fine knowledge of the subject, you will surely get placed. The highest package goes from 7 Lacs to 42 Lacs, and the average is up to 5 Lacs. Ministry of Human Resource Government of India Ranked Lovely Professional University No. 2 in India in Management. LPU has recently Marked among Top 50 Best Management Institutes by NIRF ranking 2020. Also, LPU has won National Employability Award 2020. LPU is proud recipient. Of Golden Star Award 2018 for being University with Best Placements in India. There are good faculty members that help you become more dedicated to the studies and helps you at each and every phase in your studies. Faculty is best. They provide us basic as well as core knowledge and makes you learn in a better way. At the end of a tiring day or week, everyone expects entertainment and refreshing ways to uplift their daily boring schedule. But here in LPU, they conduct so many big events where they call popular celebrities and help their students to feel more alive and energetic, which make the life in LPU more of fun. Hostels:-The first thing that almost parents are concerned about is the safety. And LPU is one campus that takes security of all their students very seriously. There are automated biometric machines that keep a record of each entry and exit in the hostel. Next comes food, the mess here is super hygienic and provides us with quality food four times a day. The industry exposure that we got during our tenure is commendable. I can clearly SEE the difference in terms of concept clarity and strong basics at my workplace and I owe it all to my college. While studying at Lovely Professional University, you will get option for Credit transfer programme, Semester exchange programme, International Exposure programme and Master abroad programme. Thank you!

Both are at the same level but the brand name that Welingkar, Mumbai has it would be advisable to go for it amongst the above two colleges.

Hello,
Welingkar fares better than IMT Nagpur due to its better rankings, brand name, alumni base, prime location, placements. The only thing lacking is a good campus life; rest all is in favour of WeSchool. Good luck.
