B.Des. in User Experience and Interaction Design

Candidates who have passed Class 12 from a recognised board in the relevant stream, can apply for BDes programme offered by the School.

To get admission to BDes, candidates must have atleast 50% aggregate in Class 12. The accepted entrance exams are JEE Main,  CUET,  NIFT Entrance Exam,  NID Entrance Exam,  UCEED,  UPES DAT, and others. Hence, candidates must have relevant scores in the accepted entrance exams. There must be 50% marks in Class 10 as well. The selection will be based on the Portfolio Presentation and Interview round. 

BDes programme is offered in nine specialisations, which include Industrial & Product, Game, Fashion, Interaction Design, Animation & VFX Design, Transportation & Mobility, Life Style & Accessory and Graphic.

BDes is provided in specialisations such as Product Design, Interior and Retail Space Design, Transportation and Mobility Design, User Experience and Interaction Design, Graphics & Communication Design, Animation and VFX, and Game Design. Apply for admission as soon as possible if interested to study any of these specialisations. 

BDes is the flagship course of UPES School of Design as students will go through a step-by-step learning experience so as to develop a comprehensive and complete understanding of interior design. UPES School Of Design arranges creativity workshops and provides various opportunities that form a part of the learning experience. Also, BDes students receive placements in top companies.

UPES School of Design BDes seats are distributed among different specialisations offered by the university. Under all the specialisations, the university provides an equal number of seats, i.e., 240. Upon computing all the seats, the university boasts a total of 960 seats for its BDes programme.

For admission to UPES School of Design, candidates must secure valid scores in accepted entrance exams. The school offers admission to BDes on the basis of the minimum aggregate of 50% in Class 10 and Class 12. Candidates must secure valid scores in entrance exams such of NID/ NIFT or candidates national level entrance exams such as UCEED/ JEE Main/ UPES DAT/ CUET or others. After qualifying throught the merit eligibility, candidates will be shortlisted for portfolio presentation and interview. After qualifying all the selection rounds, candidates must pay the fees to confirm the seat. 

Yes, it is worth pursuing BDes at UPES School of Deisgn as it is a prominent college, established as a constituent college of UPES Dehradun which is accredited by IACBE, NBA,  and with an A Grade by NAAC. The college has state-of-the-art infrastructure which is capable of supporting technology-enabled learning. UPES School of Design has a partnership with the IED  (The Istituto Europeo di Design), Italy.
