NIFT Seat Matrix 2025
One must understand the NIFT admission process and seat matrix, as the seat count is directly linked to your prospects of getting admission. The NIFT entrance exam is conducted to shortlist aspirants for admission in design courses offered at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) campuses.
NIFT 2025 exam written exam was held on February 9, 2025. The National Institute of Fashion Technology has 19 participating institutes. NIFT 2025 participating institutes will offer a total of 5,289 seats across the All-India, state domicile, and NRI categories, and all these campuses select candidate on the basis of their scores in the NIFT entrance exam.
No, the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) only offers admission basis of candidates' performance in the NIFT entrance exam. Conducted by NIFT Delhi, the National Institute of Fashion Technology entrance exam is the only accepting exam for admission to NIFT Delhi for several UG, PG and UG Diploma courses. The final selection is based on Situation Test and Personal Interview.
At the postgraduate level, NIFT Bhopal offers an MFM programme to students. The basic eligibility criteria to apply for the MFM programme at NIFT Bhopal is passed graduation from a recognised institute/ university or undergraduate Diploma of a minimum of three years duration from NIFT/ NID. Apply for admission to various postgraduate and undergraduate courses as soon as the seats open as the seats are limited and the students applying for admission are many.

NIFT 2025 Seat Matrix
Take a look at the NIFT Seat Matrix of 2025 and previous years:
- In 2022, the total number of seats available was 5,023. The break-up of seats included 4,188 All India seats, 377 State domicile seats, and 458 seats reserved for NRI/OCI/Foreign Nationals/SAARC.
- In 2023, the total number of seats increased to 5,199. This included 4,324 All India seats, 405 State domicile seats, and 470 seats for NRI/Foreign Nationals.
- In 2024, the total number of seats available was 5,289.
- In 2025, the total number of seats was 4,837, excluding the NRI seats.

NIFT 2025 Admission Process
NIFT admissions 2025 will be a two-tiered process wherein aspirants need to first clear the written tests (CAT and GAT). Shortlisted candidates have to appear next in a Situation Test/Personal Interview. The NIFT 2025 merit rank for admission will be prepared by giving weightage to each test component.

No, direct admission to NIFT Bhopal is not possible. All candidates must qualify the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Entrance Exam to be eligible for admission to any of the NIFT campuses, including NIFT Bhopal. The NIFT Entrance Exam is a comprehensive assessment of design aptitude, creativity, and general knowledge.
