How I cracked admission at VIIT Pune: Aniruddha Gayake
The career of any child changes as he/she watches or experiences different things. I was also one of them. Initially, I wanted to be a pilot, mechanical engineer, collector, IAS and so on. But when I was in 10th class, I got introduced to computer. I decided to do something in this field at that time. Then I used to ask about this course to my brother who was a computer engineer. He had given me the necessary knowledge and motivated me.
After 10th I took admission in Science in a reputed college. I was fully dedicated to studies, as I was studying for more than seven hours a day. I didn't join any coaching classes. I used to study difficult concepts with online YouTube videos, educational blogs, etc. I was a person who preferred self-studies. I attended college regularly. For studying, I followed my own method. I could not wake up early in the morning, so I preferred studying at night. A very important thing that I realised in college is that if you study the content that is taught on the same day, you not only understand it well but also remember for longer periods. So, the main thing is studying regularly.
How I cracked college admission
I aimed to crack MHCET and JEE-Main, so I had applied for only these two. For MHCET, I was using state board textbooks and some online videos. I had practiced solving question papers while racing against time. I think solving previous year question papers is the most important thing in any competitive exam, it gives us an overview of the exam pattern, the depth of exam, types of questions, etc. I had not joined any coaching class. I had only two things, the college and self-study. And sometimes, I took the help of online portals. With this preparation, I gave the exam and secured good marks. Now, I was nearing my dreams. Filling the Engineering form and doing all necessary procedures, I got admitted in VIIT Pune in the Computer branch.
My college life
Now, life in the college is not that stressful. With academics, there is a chance of participating in extracurricular activities.
Finally, I want to add some points regarding focus, target and patience. Always remember that you are unique in the world. Don't follow anyone, and create your own impression, because in this life, everyone has a different question paper. You can't copy anyone’s answers. Implement your own ways of study, make a career in the field you are interested in. If you have knowledge and skills, you will be always in demand. Remember that even though a diamond falls anywhere, it will always be shinier than other stones.
Believe in yourself.
