PES University conducts the entrance exam for the PESSAT or PES Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) for admission to various undergraduate and post-graduate courses offered by the university. After clearing PESSAT 2020 exam applicants can secure admissions to BTech, BBA, MTech, MBA, MCA, and several others. Aspirants will be shortlisted for admissions in PES University on the basis of their PESSAT 2020 entrance test score as well as their performance in the personal interview round at the time of counselling process. PESSAT 2020 entrance exam Exams for various courses is conducted in different months. The entrance exam for BTech will be held in May.

Through PESSAT entrance exam, candidates can secure admissions in various disciplines of BTech such as Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. PESSAT 2020 Application Form

Registration: Click on the PES University website and go to the PESSAT 2020 registration. Now select the course you wish to apply and enter your name, gender, date of birth, email ID. After this, follow the instructions and fill all the required fields. You can also select your test cities. No click on proceed button and then click on Edit/confirm button and you will be now directed towards the personal details page.

Enter Mobile Number

Filling details in PESSAT application: In this section, the candidate needs to enter the details of the qualifying examination, name of his/her father and mother. Write your mobile number (without zero ‘0’) compulsorily i.e. only 10 digits. Fill the details regarding the permanent address along with city, pin code, your mother tongue, and select if case of any disability. You also need to enter/choose from the following details:

  • If it is yes, please select: Visual/Physical
  • Enter the place of birth
  • Select the family size from the drop down list
  • Select the Citizenship: Indian/ Other
  • Enter the Mother tongue
  • Enter the caste
  • Select the category you belong to:
    • SC
    • ST
    • OBC
    • OTHERS
    • GEN
  • Select Religion from the drop down list
  • Tick Nationality: Indian/ Other(Enter the other details in the text field)

Uploading Images: You can upload the photo by giving your exam registration number, date of birth and the gender details, or else click on the confirm button. Candidates will be redirected to the ‘Payment details page’.

Payment of application fees

  • If a candidate is making payment is through online mode (Credit Card/Debit Card/Net banking) then read the instructions and click on I agree and pay now button. Now you can select the pay option using a Net Banking/Credit card/Debit card. After this you can enter your card number, and enter the expiry of the card date, name of cardholder and then enter the CVV number. After this, you can click on the make payment button. 
  • If payment is through DD Draft:Firstly draw a DD or Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 1050 in favour of ‘PES University–General fund’ and post it to below address. Now you can complete the payment by entering the DD Details in online, i.e. DD Number, Bank Name, Branch Name, Branch City name, DD Date.

Note: Send the DD to the Office of Admissions at the PES University Ring Road campus along with a print of the online application form through a courier.

Through E-Challan: Candidates can also select this payment option. Here, they have to take the print of the E-Challan after filling the PESSAT online application form and take this E-Challan to any of the ICICI Bank branches and pay the exam fee at the bank.

Take Printout: All the candidates can now take a printout of the PESSAT 2020 application form by giving their date of birth and registration number and gender details.

PESSAT 2020 exam eligibility criteria

Every candidate must know the details regarding PESSAT 2020 exam eligibility criteria if they want to appear for the engineering entrance exam. 

  • Aspirants must be a Resident Indian.
  • Or Non-Resident Indian (NRI), holder of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India (GOI).
  • Indian nationality, NRIs, PIOs, and OCIs are eligible to apply.
  • For BTech course
    • Candidates must have passed +2 in science stream, i.e., in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM)from a recognized board with minimum 60% marks.
    • The students who have passed the examination from CBSE, ICSE, IB, State and IGCSE can appear for the PESSAT exam.
  • For BArch course
    • Candidates should have passed +2 with a minimum of 50% marks and must have studied mathematics as a core subject.
    • Candidates should possess a three-year diploma passed in any stream with 50% aggregate marks and mathematics as a mandatory subject.
    • Candidates should have International Baccalaureate Diploma secured after 10 years of schooling with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and should have secured minimum 40% marks in NATA conducted by Council of Architecture (CoA).
    • Admission for NRI (15% of seats): Candidates can reserve their seats straight at the PES University by contacting the authorities for getting admission into a particular course.

PESSAT 2020 Exam Pattern

Every candidate appearing for PESSAT must know the entrance test pattern. Exam authorities, i.e. PES University, will issue the guidelines regarding the exam pattern. The exam pattern will help the candidate understand the question paper structure in a better way. The PESSAT exam comprises multiple-choice questions (MCQ) with one correct option and the duration for the exam is 180 minutes. Interested candidates can have a look at the PESSET 2020 pattern below:

  • Mode of Examination: Online or Computer-Based Test
  • Language of Paper: English
  • Duration of the Exam: 180 minutes
  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Objective Type
  • Negative Marking: There will be no deduction for incorrect answers.

PESSAT 2020 Exam Result

The exam authorities will declare the result for PESSAT 2020 in the last week of May and applicants can check their respective results from the official website. To check the result, enter the PESSET 2020 exam roll number and your date of birth on the login window. Each PESSAT 2020 scorecard will contain the candidate’s name, roll number, sectional scores, and overall score. The candidates are advised to download their respective scorecards online as the authority will not send the result to any candidate by post. All the eligible candidate who will qualify the PESSAT exam 2020 will be shortlisted for counselling process.

PESSAT 2020 Exam Counselling

  • PES University will organise the counselling process for the PESSAT 2020 exam in the first week of July.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted according to their performance in the PESSAT 2020 entrance examination. They will also have to go through the personal interview.
  • Only qualified candidates will become part of the counselling process organised by the university.
  • Candidates will get the complete schedule of PESSAT counselling on the official website.
  • After the declaration of the result, candidates need to attend the counselling procedure.
  • Candidates will have to attend the counselling process in person at the prescribed reporting time.
  • Candidates will have to pay the counselling fee for attending the PESSET 2020 counselling.
  • Counselling for BTech and other programmes will be conducted separately.

Yes, a specific upfront payment discount is available; no general merit scholarships are offered. Private, NRI, or Management quota students who pay the entire remaining course fees for 3.5 years (excluding the first-year fee) in one lump sum are eligible for a 10% discount on that remaining amount.
