Chemistry

Chemistry is the subject in which you can score maximum with minimum efforts. It is the easiest subject in JEE (according to the difficulty level and question asked).

Follow NCERT book seriously and try to read each and every page of it as in January JEE Mains, there were many questions directly from NCERT Book.

Some important topics: Multiple Reactions, Chemistry in daily life, GOC, Glucose, Hydrocarbons, Electrochemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Organic Compounds containing oxygen/nitrogen/halogen, Polymers, Reagents & Reactions

Mathematics

Try to be fast in calculations because this time in January JEE Mains, some questions were easy but required lengthy calculations.

Practice some questions in which answer can be generated through eliminating the options or by substituting the values.

Some important topics: Permutation & Combination (P&C), Differential Calculus & Integral Calculus, Determinants, Binomial Theorem, Coordinate Geometry, Probability, Vector & 3D, Trigonometry, Sequence & Series

Physics

Try to learn the formulas thoroughly because in JEE Mains January, around 15 questions were formula-based and also easy.

Try to find out easy questions and then attempt them first rather than wasting your time difficult ones first.

Some important topics: EMI, Mechanics, Simple Harmonic Motion (SHM), Waves, Modern Physics, Optics, Thermodynamics, Heat, Electrodynamics, Gravitation

General JEE Main Tips

  • Focus more on the topics in which you know something but are not perfect in it. And try to make them perfect.
  • Take follow up and revise topics in which you are perfect.
  • Practice more and more mocks.
  • Try to give January JEE Mains paper as a mock.
  • Give at least three mocks per week along with studying. Try to analyse and learn from the mistakes which you made and try to avoid them in the next mock. Trust me by this way you can score very well or can improve your score.
  • In order to score well try to give much time in the subject in which you are weak.
  • Minimum hours for effective scoring (weekly) for Chemistry should be 10 hours; 20 hours for Maths; and 25 hours for Physics.

Note: This is on a general basis. You can set the timings according to your strength and weakness.

  • Believe in yourself and focus w Prove yourself in this second JEE Main attempt of 2020.
