Who are the JEE Main 2026 Toppers?

The JEE Main 2026 toppers are all those candidates who score a perfect percentile, that is, 100 out of 100 percentile marks.

Note that students with the same raw marks can have different percentiles. JEE Main is conducted in multiple shifts, and each shift can have a different difficulty level. Some shifts may be slightly easier, while others may be tougher. Because of this, NTA uses a normalisation process to calculate the percentile. This ensures that no student is at a disadvantage because of a tougher paper. So, two students with the same marks from different shifts may have different percentiles. This is completely normal.

How to Check JEE Main 2026 All India Rank

The All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Main 2026 is allotted to all candidates via their session 2 scorecard.

NTA does not release the JEE Main 2026 rank list for all candidates separately. The ranks are mentioned individually on the respective JEE Main scorecards of the candidates, which candidates can access from the login using their application number and password.

How NTA Decides the JEE Main 2026 All India Ranks (AIR)

NTA allots the ranks to the candidates based on the percentile score of the students. In case two or more students score the same percentile, then the tie between them is resolved using the following criteria in JEE Mains 2026:

  1. NTA score in Mathematics, followed by
  2. NTA score in Physics, followed by
  3. NTA score in Chemistry, followed by
  4. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the Test, followed by
  5. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Mathematics in the Test, followed by
  6. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Physics in the Test, followed by
  7. Candidate with a lower proportion of the number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Chemistry in the Test followed by
  8. If there is a tie even after this, candidates will be assigned the same rank.

Therefore, when multiple candidates score 100 percentile, their All India Rank is decided by applying the tie-breaking criteria above.
