Eligibility: Residents of Kerala who passed 10+2 with the same subjects.

Minimum Marks: Achieve 50% in each subject and 45% overall in 10+2.

 

 

The BTech Mechanical Engineering syllabus is not the same across all colleges, as every college committee sets a particular coursework pattern at the start of every academic year to be followed for the respective batch. The syllabus includes some core subjects, interesting electives, and lab work that gives detailed knowledge to the students about the workings of the field. 

For admission to BTech at NIT Calicut, candidates are required to apply via JEE Main. The detailed steps around JEE Main applications process are as follows:

Step 1: Open the official website (jeemain.nta.nic.in) and click on the ‘Registration for JEE (Main) 2024 link.

Step 2: Fill the registration form with the required information followed by clicking on the submit button.

Step 3: Fill the detailed application form and upload scanned images and documents.

Step 4: Pay the JEE Main application fees.

Step 5: The application will be submitted itself.

Before the JEE Main 2024 registration process, students must keep the following documents and information ready:

• Valid email-id and mobile number
• Academic details related to the Class 10 and Class 12 qualifying exams
• Scanned copy of category certificate (if applicable)
• Scanned copy of PwD Certificate (if applicable)
• Scanned photograph and signature as per the specification mentioned by the NTA
• Net banking/ credit card/ debit card/ UPI details for application fee payment

The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) considers JEE Main and JEE Advanced  scores for BTech admissions. Candidates are required to have successfully cleared the JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced exam and secured a minimum of 75% marks in Class 12 or be in the top 20 percentile in Class 12 or its equivalent. The admission 2024 criteria for the IIST BTech programme are primarily determined by the scores obtained in JEE Advanced 2024. Consequently, JEE Advanced scores serve as the principal entrance exam scores accepted by IIST for admission to its BTech program.
