Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala), or Examinations recognised as equivalent thereto, with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biotechnology/ Biology with atleast 45% (40% marks for SC/ST/ SEBC and those included in the PD quota) marks put together in the above subjects. Result awaited students can also apply on provisional basis. Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on the 31st December 2022.

National Institute of Technology, Calicut is one of the top-ranked Architecture institutes in India. The institute has been ranked 3rd in the 'Architecture' category,  25th in the 'Engineering' category, and 76th in the 'Management' category by NIRF Ranking 2024. Talking about the placements, the the highest and average package offered during NIT Calicut placements 2023 stood at INR 50 LPA and INR 13.77 LPA, respectively. CAT is not a mandatory requirement for admission to College of Engineering, Trivandrum. CAT scores are required only for admission to the MBA program offered by the college.

Candidates must take one of the CMAT, CAT, or KMAT tests in order to be considered for enrollment in the M.B.A. programme offered by the CET.

MEC College considers GATE Exam as a national level exam for M.Tech admission. The cutoff marks for M.Tech admissions at MEC varies based on the GATE score and the specific discipline or programme you are applying to. If we consider range of GATE scores (28-32.7) as a general estimate, it implies that one would need to score within that range to have a relatively easier chance of securing admission to an M.Tech programme at MEC Kochi . However, this M.Tech course in this college is excellent.
