AFCAT 1 Application Form filling deadline has been extended. The last date to fill the application is December 19. Earlier, the last date to fill the application form was December 14AFCAT notification has been released. AFCAT application fees are INR 550 with GST charges. The application fees are common across various categories. The application correction window of AFCAT exam will be made available after the registratioin process is over. Q:   How to apply online for AFCAT?
A: 

The AFCAT application form was released on November 17. Before applying, check the eligibility criteria. The steps to fill out the AFCAT application form are mentioned below.

  • Visit the website, afcat.cdac.in.
  • Click on the Apply link.
  • The registration form will display on the computer screen.
  • Provide the required information to complete the registration.
  • Candidates need to fill in their personal details, course preference, if they have appeared in the AFSB earlier or not, communication details, and upload the scanned photograph, signature, etc.
  • The final step is to pay the application fees.
  • After the successful transaction application will be submitted.
Q:   Can I apply offline for AFCAT exam?
A: 

Candidates need to apply online for AFCAT exam only. There is no facility to apply offline. The link to fill the application form is activated on the official website. To apply for AFCAT exam, candidates are first required to register for the exam. The window to edit the application form is made available after the closure of application process.

AFCAT Online Application Correction

AFCAT application form correction window is activated by IAF after the application process closes. Only two sections are editable, 'Fill Application Form' and 'Upload Document'. Using the correction window, candidates can edit the details such as Candidate's name, Father's name, Passport Size Photo, Signature, Thumb Impression. No other fields are editable. No extra fee is charged to make the changes in the application form. The facility for editing the application form can be done by candidates who register successfully and pay the application fee.

Q:   What details can I edit in AFCAT application form?
A: 

The window to correct the details in AFCAT application form is made available few days after the closure of the application process. Candidates can use the correction window to edit details such as Candidate's name, Father's name, Passport Size Photo, Signature, Thumb Impression. No other fields are editable. No extra fee is charged to make the changes in the application form. The facility for editing the application form can be done by candidates who register successfully and pay the application fee.

Q:   How to check the AFCAT payment status?
A: 

Once the payment process is successful, the system displays the AFCAT registration number. This means that the payment is successful. Candidates must verify the correction of information entered in the application form before proceeding with the 'Make Payment' option. Applicants will not be able to edit the previous details entered after the selection of 'Course Preferences' step and after the 'Make Payment' step. No cash or cheque or demand draft (DD) is accepted towards payment of examination fee. The examination fee can be paid using credit/ debit cards/ net banking through the payment gateway. Applicants are advised to follow the instructions/ steps given on the payment gateway, and also print/keep the transaction details for their records. After confirmation from bank that the payment is received, the 'Payment Status' display 'Registration Number' which the candidate may note down for future correspondence. Simultaneously, candidates also receive a confirmatory sms/ e-mail.

Both male and female candidates are eligible for AFCAT exam.  Candidates must check AFCAT eligibility before applying for the exam. AFCAT age limit is 20 to 24 yearsThe educational qualification prescribed for the exam is graduation. The educational qualification is different for different branches/departments.

Q:   Is the candidate eligible for TA or other allowance for appearing in the AFCAT?
A: 

Candidates are required to travel to the AFCAT exam centre of their own. The exam centre is allotted to candidates based on their preferences. The details related to the exam centre are mentioned in the admit card. Take the printout of the admit card along with one photo-identity proof.

Q:   I have registered online on the official website for AFCAT. However, I have not received any password. What to do?
A: 

While entering email address ensure it is correct and in use. Password is sent to email address through which you have registered. If you do not receive password you may also use Forgot Password Option to receive a new password.

AFCAT exam is conducted in more than 100 cities. Candidates are required to choose five test cities while filling AFCAT application form. Candidates are allotted AFCAT exam centres in the cities selected by them. The examination authority reserves the right to allot exam cities to candidates.

Q:   What is the dress code for AFCAT exam?

AFCAT is one of the most sought-after defence exam in the country. The exam is conducted to select eligible candidates as gazetted officers in the Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. As it is the important defence exam in the country, therefore, the examination authority prescribes dress for candidates appearing in the exam. The guidelines related to dress code are given below: Candidates need to wear slippers/sandals with flat heels Closed footwear such as shoes is not allowed in the exam centre Clothes with large buttons are not permitted. Candidates wearing attire for religious purpose will be thoroughly frisked Candidates colour photograph will be taken during verification process. Candidates are required to put the thumb impression on the admit card in advance (at home) before proceeding to the examination centre and to sign on the same in front of the invigilators Candidates will be allowed to leave the exam hall after completion of AFCAT/EKT For rough work, A4 size sheet will be kept at each candidate's desk.
