The TSTET Hall Ticket 2024 was released by the Department of School Education, Government of Telangana, on May 16, 2024. Candidates who have applied for the TSTET 2024 exam can download their TSTET Hall Ticket by entering their registration credentials and date of birth.

The Government of Telangana released the TSTET Exam Schedule for the TSTET 2024 exam which is going to be conducted by the authority from May 20 to June 2, 2024. TS TET Exam will be conducted in computer-based mode at the various exam centres in the 11 districts of the Telangana state. The exam will be held in two shifts.

TSTET Application Form 2024 was activated by the Department of School Education, the Government of Telangana on March 27, 2024. Candidates who want to appear for the TSTET 2024 exam could apply online by registering through the official website- tstet2024.aptonline.in, till April 20, 2024.

Q:   When will TSTET 2024 exam be conducted?

A:

The School Education Commissioner of Telangana, A Sridevasena, announced in an interview that the TSTET 2024 exam will be conducted by the authority from May 20 to June 3, 2024. The TSTET Application Form 2024 will be accepted on the official website from March 27 to April 10, 2024.

TSTET Notification 2024 will be released by the Department of School Education, Government of Telangana on on the official website on March 27, 2024. TSTET 2024 Notification will be released in PDF format.  Candidates will be able to download the TSTET Notification 2024 PDF through the official website. Telangana State Teachers Eligibility Test will be conducted in two shifts i.e., Paper-1 will be held from 9.30 AM to 12 PM and Paper-2 will be held from 2.30 PM to 5 PM. 

Candidates should start preparing for the exam accordingly and ensure that they cover the entire syllabus and practice sample papers and previous year question papers to score well in the exam.

 

Q:   How many questions are asked in the TSTET exam?

A:

The TSTET (Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test) exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in each paper. The questions are divided into five sections: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics, and Environment Studies.

For Paper 1, which is for candidates who wish to teach classes 1 to 5 in schools in Telangana, the questions are designed to test the candidates' understanding of the basic concepts in child development, language, mathematics, and environment studies.

For Paper 2, which is for candidates who wish to teach classes 6 to 8 in schools in Telangana, the questions are designed to test the candidates' understanding of the pedagogical concepts related to child development, language, mathematics, and environment studies.

Each question in the TSTET exam carries one mark, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. Candidates need to score a minimum of 60% marks (i.e., 90 out of 150 marks) to qualify in the TSTET exam. However, candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/PH categories are given a relation of 5% in the qualifying marks.

 

Q:   What is the duration of the TSTET 2024 exam?

A:

The duration of the TSTET (Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test) exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes for both Paper 1 and Paper 2.

Each paper consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and each question carries one mark. Candidates are required to attempt all the questions within the given duration of the exam.

TSTET Eligibility Criteria 2024

TSTET Age Limit Criteria 

TSTET does not have any age limit criteria, candidates can take the TSTET exam at any age if they fulfil the educational qualification criteria. However, the lower age limit is 18 years.

TSTET Educational Qualification

TSTET Educational Qualification for Paper 1 

TSTET Paper 1 is taken to determine the eligibility of the candidates to teach in primary schools (Classes 1 to 5) of Telangana state. The TSTET Paper 1 educational qualification has been given below for the candidates:

  • Senior Secondary with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) or 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)

Or,

  • Senior Secondary with at least 45 per cent marks (40 per cent for SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently-abled candidates) and pass in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) or 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to DElEd/ DEd course prior to the issue of guidelines ( 23-Dec-2015)

Or,

  • Graduation with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in Bachelor of Education (BEd)/ Bachelor of Education (Special Education)

TSTET Educational Qualification for Paper 2

The TSTET Paper 2 exam is taken to determine the eligibility of the candidates to teach in upper primary schools (Classes 6 to 8) of Telangana state. The TSTET educational qualification has been given below for the candidates:

  • BA/BSc/BCom with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in Bachelor of Education (BEd)/ Bachelor of Education (BEd Special Education)

Or,

  • BA/BSc/BCom with at least 50 per cent marks (40 per cent for SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in Bachelor of Education (BEd)/ Bachelor of Education (BEd Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to BEd prior to the issue of guidelines (23-Dec-2015)

Or,

  • 4-year BAEd/ BScEd with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently abled candidates)

Or,

  • For Language Teachers, Graduation with the language concerned as one of the optional subjects OR Bachelor of Oriental language OR Graduation in literature OR Post Graduation in Language concerned and Language Pandit Training Certificate/ BEd with language concerned as one of the Methodologies

Or,

  • BE/ BTech with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently abled candidates) and passed or appearing in Bachelor of Education (BEd) or BEd (Special Education)

The Telangana State Teachers Eligibility Test Certificate is now valid for a lifetime as the NCTE has extended the validity of the Telangana State Teachers Eligibility Test Certificate for life.
